Anyone find it funny that they hotfix like the least broken of the broken classes? I mean Mages hello they top pvp with arcane barrage and PvE. But nope its hunters that need to be nerfed first. Blizzard has said time and time again that hunters are OP, its just that we lose to classes that are more OP. But those arn't the classes that get nerfed.

Since people are asking for numbers here you go. Call the numbers whatever you will, this is all I have to provide at the moment.

Just checked WWS from before/after yesterday's downtime. I got one small upgrade (not worth more than a few DPS) between the two reports, so for all intents and purposes my gear, rotation and raid buffs were the same for both examples. We've only done Maly and Construct Quarter so far this week, so comparative info is limited to Construct Quarter bosses.

Obviously you must consider that with Grobbulus there is a lot of moving around, so "Range from source" oriented buffs may not be present all the time.

Deviations from this data are all over the place (although most float around 10% less this week), so I'm not calling anything anything yet. GC has spent a lot of time and effort working at building credibility with the entire player base, and I would be surprised if he dropped the hammer with an unannounced nerf at this point. Not saying it's impossible, but I'd be surprised.

We made a hotfix recently to lower the coefficient of Explosive Shot. Sorry we didn't get a chance to announce the change ahead of time. We don't typically do patch notes for hotfixes so we don't have a system in place to always broadcast these before they happen.

We are in the process of making some changes to get damage done more in parity (in PvP and PvE). If there are other classes far ahead of you on the damage meters, chances are good they will see some nerfs to their damage soon too.

Overall, we are trying to make changes in a more timely manner so that players won't feel like they are stuck with a bug or other issue forever. We won't be able to get every issue fixed overnight, but it's a start.

Ok where is the un nerf for BM then since you want to fix issues in a timely manner.

Our chart toppers on most fights are warriors and DKs, AOE fight, Stand Still, gimmick, doesn't matter. If they actually want to "balance" pve dps and don't just have a bug up their rears about Hunters they should start with those classes.

1) Explosive shot was OP'd, Blizz has so stated. So, IF it ahs been nerfed, you really can't be so surprised.

2) GC has pointed out in numerous threads that what gets fixed and what doesn't get fixed DOES NOT depend on our priority. It depends on how easy or hard it is to retune it, and what other issues Blizz is working on. For Example - they work on three big problems, 30 medium problems, and 300 little problems. If it's easy to fix and requires very little discussion inside blizz. ES appears to be an easy fix, perahps because of the "knob" they included in it. Do other things need fixing? Yeah, but just because it doesn't seem "fair" to you doesn't mean change the fact taht the change will be made if and when blizz can get to it. So, get a grip.

3) A statement by Blizz would be great. Not because we somehow deserve one, or that it's somehow owed to us. But because it will confirm to all the other classes QQing about hunter ES DPS that Blizz has adjusted it, and the other classes can start QQing about something else.

GC stated that they nerfed it to hard and are going to bring it back up.

So timely manner, same patch ES was buffed BM was nerfed.

You actually used to have a system where you would post "hotfixes for the week of xxxx" a few months ago.

What happened to that? It was good. It may not have been broadcast ahead of time, but at least the information did go out at some point in an organized fashion. I would love to see it return.

So you nerfed survival prior to fixing other blatant dps imbalances currently in game (not just classes that are much higher, but also ones that are much lower)?

In a prior post yes it was pointed out that you thought that survival may have been over-buffed. I'm not going to get into arguing semantics, but I believe that post also indicated there may be some 'tweaking' to the build after the other classes were brought in line.

I'm fairly sure you already know, fury warriors, affliction warlocks, and mages are posting numbers way above hunters on your favorite dps benchmark (Patchwerk). On the other hand, rogues, elemental shamans, and feral druids are on the other end of that spectrum, posting up relatively weak numbers.

It seems to me that hunters are having far too much time spent on them. Is it possible to maybe leave them alone for some time while Blizzard addresses other class needs? We've had our share of buffs // nerfs, isn't it about time to focus on those other classes that are hurting? You have your benchmark now. Just make all classes equal (or 5% below for the hybrids) to the DPS output of Marksman hunter and we'll be fine and dandy.

Insane. That is the only word i can use to describe this change. I took 25k damage in 2 globals from a rogue mage setup in my current gear and your nerfing US? Hunters have been a punching bag for 4 seasons and when we finally have a decent tool as a 51 point talent compared to the GARBAGE other 2 51s and its insta nerfed after less the a week? This is beyond ridiculous, try looking at classes that actually need nerfs instead of overnerfing a class where only holdouts are left.

Wake up. Time to die.

nerfing the coefficent on an incredibly powerful skill isn't the end of the world.

GC was this change made with consideration of Frost Trap allowing more frequent procs from LnL, or when that bug gets fixed will we see a large then intended nerf to this ability? Put another way is Frost Trap suppose to be off of the 30 second cool down added to LnL?

What about Feign Death not working on Malygos at all since beta? :) Can that be hotfixed or that requires a patch?
