Killing a healer, even in the absence of crowd control, silences or whatever, still needs to be a viable tactic at the end of the day.

Your take: Any single dps should be able to faceroll and win.

My take: A far better geared, or multiple comparably geared dps, should be able to play intelligently and win.

Congratulations. You've learned Inference.

Lol.

I don't care how better geared your DPS is. No DPS should be able to use only his deeps buttons (facerolling) and kill a healer. If they can, then there's absolutely no point to bringing a healer whatsoever.

It's been shown again and again on sites far more reputable than these forums that unless a healer can outheal two DPS hitting on him without using vital abilities (CC, silence, etc), then there is no point to bringing the type of class in PvP.

I wouldn't care to much about dps face rolling...... as long as I could think intelligently and be able to come out of it. As it stands now, no matter what I do there is no way I could come out of a dps fight without dieing.

Don't really care. Most of GC's posts are either announcing nerfs or defending comments he's made on the DPS forums.

Until he actually starts explaining the design logic behind healer balancing I just ignore his posts or those clamoring for his attention. Indeed since he never posts in the threads that bring up real issues it's almost a positive to avoid any thread with blue in it.

^^^this, to bad you can not put a blue on ignore, I am at the point where I would like to put him on ignore on the boards.

If a healer is in greens and blues and the dps is in the current best epics, yes, the dps should be able to take out the healer.

If DPS > HPS, taking into consideration resilience, etc, the dps should be able to take out the healer.

Right now, there's a problem and that has been acknowledged.

(For the record, I don't consider HoJ, kidney shot or cheap shot CC or true silences -- obviously, they shut the healer up, but any rogue that doesn't open with CS and a paladin that doesn't utilize HoJ whenever possible is pretty dumb.)

I used to look forward to blue posts, because they were rare, and either ment buff or nerf. They are now neither, so I tend to avoid the over trolled blue posts. Please only post to give us info ABOUT THE GAME not about random junk. Update us with information and not your feelings of pvp, no offence intended. Your posts spawn other posts about stuff I also don't want to hear about. I have to agree with the OP and say that it takes away from the point of the healing fourms, and makes it the GC fourms. We all know you are there now, so keep doing your thing and drop the occasional post like "We are going to change this spell by this %" not "we see your concerns blah blah blah I'm being vague and I am not giving any solid information blah blah".

I understand a number of players just want to scan a bluetracker or whatever and see the latest list of buffs and nerfs. But honestly those kinds of announcements are going to be really rare. I have also talked to enough players to know there are a lot who appreciate just being able to have a conversation with a developer, even if it's more on design goals and processes than on a list of buffs and nerfs.

I don't want it to be the GC forums either. I think posting has just been high lately because of season 5.

Ghost, can you please humor this question?

Does Blizzard think that damage output is too high right now in arena? if so, will damage be tweaked or will resilience be buffed to compensate?

Oh, and if you do respond, does Blizzard also find it fair that mutilate rogues have virtually 3 permanent poisons on anyone at any given time, including a curse of tongues, a mortal strike, and the most effective snare in the game that are completely futile to attempt to cleanse?

There is no question we value the fact that the devs are showing a willingness to communicate with us, especially considering the size and scale of WoW. It does make the whole thing a little more human, and a little less mystical for people.

However, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that many of us are here would probably just like some straight answers. Not just on what the goals are, but how the developers intend to get there. The most common complaints have not really been addressed in any meaningful way. A lot of us are hanging in there hoping for some news. Good or bad, we just want to know what is going on. We want some idea of what to expect, so we can either reroll to something that isn't gimped in an effort to continue to enjoy the game, or we can get ready for upcoming changes.

The problem here is that these forums might be giving you what you want, but they certainly don't give the people what they want. Mainly, real information.

Women are like Voltron. The more you add, the better it gets.

Meh, that's not why I want you to stop posting here. It's just that I want to come here for interaction with people in an intelligent manner, not an entire front page 3/4 full of the same hysterical topics that have been rehashed for months with no constructive conversation. And every time you post something, it's just fuel to the QQ fire. People have no idea what "a grain of salt" means.

Maybe I need to go hang out at elitistjerks or something. :/

(I don't really want you to stop posting, I want the QQers to stop QQing over everything you write. :P)

When you read as many threads as I do, you stop looking at the titles. Half of them don't give much indication of the actual topic anyway. :)

Don't listen to the OP. It's great to hear from you and the other blues, even when I vehemently disagree with what you have to say.

GC has indicated that he thinks the jury is still out on damage being too high, and he wants to see what happens when more players have high resilience.

Our 3v3 druid has over 900 resilience and can almost die in a cheap shot from a single mutilate rogue that opens on him in improved ToL form. Next question.

If you want a forum where there are few QQing threads (since everybody knows blues wouldn't see them there), go to the class-specific forums, like your druid forums:

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/board.html?forumId=10015&sid=1

Like most of that forum's front page, though, is filled with questions that would be redundant if the posters knew to look stuff up on wowwiki.

I think it rather works alright to have both types of forums. Here's the place and chance to debate over how things should be with other players of one's class role and with GC, to the degree possible with countless players versus 1 dev.

This is only the second week of arena. Many players are first experiencing for themselves what resilience does or rather doesn't do. So there's more than the usual QQing, up to the point of redundant threads.
