I'd really like Zarhym or another Blue to answer this but other's peoples input is always welcome

Grizzly Hill's did amazing but it is true that it had help of the expansion.

I just want to know if a new server will be coming out or not within like 3 or 4 months even. Me and my friends are willing to take a break for now if it means a new server eventually within next year to play on together (we are really excited for the chance of it). But if there are no plans whatsoever for any more servers for quite some time, I guess we will have to go to Grizzly.

I just don't want to have us all join it to facepalm it in a month or two when a new server opens up, or have us wait and facepalm it 6 months from now and still no new servers.

You are offering free transfers from a HANDFUL of the realms having queue problems, AND you are funneling them down to SINGLE destination realms.

chill man, perhaps they are limiting the number of servers eligible for transfer to limit the amount of volume they will have to deal with at one time. and yes they are taking several realms and funneling them down to single ultra low pop realms, sounds reasonable to me

Once free transfers to Drak'Tharon are finished will the server still accept paid transfers? For example, if entire guilds considered transferring this could be a serious issue if you closed the server when your goals were met, and left guild members straggling behind.

If, however, people left behind were still able to come by paying for a transfer, that would at least seem more feasible for large guild transfers.

They always announce a day or two before if they are shutting them down early. So unless your guild has people that don't log on for a week, you shouldn't have too many stranglers.

Bladefist is getting 20-30 minute cues as well, and those that are online are getting extreme lag when cues happen, lol was in the middle of a arena match and my latency jumped from 340-1800+.I was like O.o.

4 seconds for my Strangulate to actually work etc. i know a bunch of people just waiting for us to get a chance to transfer to another place.I remember a year ago when i was hitting 75ms, man it was awesome.

Now to convince a few of my friends to transfer all of our chars off of SR.

I definitely appreciate ED being open for free transfers. 1200-1800 queues with 1-2hrs of waiting is not fun. I have 4 characters that I may transfer.

There's still the issue of accepting applicants. No point transferring a guild to a new server if people cannot transfer there at their own convenience.

I asked whether the server would be closed to paid transfers once the free ones were finished. Question still stands.

Regarding draenor only having 20 - 30 min wait that is a little on the minimum side during the weekdays around 5-8 it is not uncommon to be waiting more like 40 -60 minutes.
