Update:
We will be closing the transfers to Drak'tharon and Tortheldrin ahead of schedule on Monday, January 12 at 7:00pm PST, as we have reached the transfer goals for these realms. If you plan to transfer please do so before this time.

This thread will contain information on the free character moves to and from PVP realms we currently have available to assist in population dispersal. In the event that these realms meet our transfer goals before the scheduled end date, the transfers to that realm will be disabled. We highly recommend that if you are planning to transfer that you do so at your earliest convenience. No characters will be eligible for these free moves once the transfers have been closed.

These transfers are scheduled to close on Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 pm PST (January 15, 7:00 am AEDT) provided our transfer goal is not reached prior to this time.

Post an update regarding the latency issue for 25-man raids please.

Paying for a service you can't use isn't very fun.

Why only PvP realms?

Logging into Draenor at peak times can take up tot 25-30 minutes.

I find that I am paying for a service which is often unavailable to me. Why doesn't every realm with consistent queues get free transfers?

edit: I see the blurb you included at the end of your post now, it was blending in with your signature. Perhaps starting out with addressing the players who are still suffering would help bring attention to it better.

While we appreciate that you tell us which time zone the new servers are running on, what really matters to many of us is which datacenter the servers are routed through.

I live on the east coast and therefore prefer to play on Eastern Std. Time, but if the server is physically routed through a west coast datacenter (Los Angeles or Seattle), my latency will suffer tremendously more than it will on a server routed through the Boston datacenter.

(for those of you that don't know what I'm talking about: http://www.wowwiki.com/US_realm_list_by_datacenter )

If forced to choose between Server Time or Server Location, I think many of us would prefer lower latency over server timezone.

I know other servers have problems but 20-30 minutes is short in comparison to the realms listed. 1000+ person, hour+ long queues are not uncommon on ED by the time i get home from work.

I hope to see some PvE transfers soon. Elune has become a desperate wasteland. 20 minute queues, severe lag issues, and one of the worst faction imbalances of all the servers. Not to mention that every patch for the past 4 years has resulted in over a day of lost time; each time.

I like what you are doing here. Fourteen of the realms listed for emigration are classified as bad lag raid instance realms in this spreadsheet:

I'd kill for only a 20 minute wait. I went to put my daughter to bed and without thinking hit the exit game button. BAM!!! Smacked by the queue bat. I tried logging back in about 2 min after I exited and wammo.....720 queue. /facepalm.

The transfers off of Emerald Dream are appreciated. However, you would see a better response if you offered transfers to an RP server, or even a PVE one.

I know some are worse, I used to play on Frostwolf when the game launched and it was TERRIBLE.

There are low population realms available... so why the hesitation? They have a proven system for load balancing their populations. Whether you have to wait 15 minutes or wait 60 minutes isn't my concern, it's the fact that they have the means to improve the situation for both of us and yet they hesitate. No one should have to wait in queue unless every server has a high load at peaks times and that's just not the case.
