It's the holidays! Shouldn't you be on vacation somewhere, having a snowball fight with family?

I think if he'd have had time off, he may have not made some of the comments that have all the forum trolls up in arms.

Take a break, GC! See your family!

I'd like to see how much work you do on a Saturday night at almost midnight local time... Or maybe if you're not at that point in life yet... you could go to school then?

I'm not one to put in those kind of hours at my job, but people who do it because they honestly have a passion for what they do (and aren't just workaholics, yes there is a difference) deserve a certain amount of respect...

And should be told at every opportunity to STOP WORKING!!! :)

He usually posts at night when everyone else is sleeping. :o)

I think that he genuinely enjoys reading through the forums. I do appreciate all the time and effort he puts into making this game the best it can be.

Also, someone needs to teach GC how to feed waffles to the trolls. :o)

I'm going to be out of town for a few days. I may not be able to post much so I was trying to put in some extra time tonight. In the past these forums tended to unravel if players thought their feedback wasn't being heard as evidenced by, in their minds, lack of blue posts.

The truth is, you don't need a blue post to make a good thread good. We'll still read it. The sadder truth is that blue posts are often the worst thing to happen to a thread. :)

yes, but people complain about a lack of response even when there are blue responses in every thread.

I was deployed twice to Iraq and am currently serving my sixth year in the armed forces. Please don't tell me about working at midnight on a Saturday night. I still got my cold weather gear in my trunk. I've missed two Christmases already.

GC is doing everyone very nice favors and he's quite a fella I'm sure. What he does is a challenge ,but it's also probably the most fun thing he could ever want to do at the moment This is a dream job for many people and he knows it. He gets paid doing what you only wish you could do, and is being paid to do what we're doing right now: posting on the forums.

He's not a slave, he chose to do this. I know what it is to work during the holiday and not being able to throw snowballs with your family. I would take a job filing papers and owning a whiteboard and trolling paying players on a forum in sunny California any day of the year.

Don't confuse him being here with being difficult, he's more than happy to listen to our QQ's and our threads because he's here, right now on his free time. Trust me, a guy in his position doesn't have to waste time on these forums on the mere public.

I just don't want to ever lose touch with what it's like to be on the other side. That was me not too long ago.

Thanks for the support, Hail, but as many late nights as I have put in, it's nothing compared to the work you're doing. Even my worst days are totally safe (minus the occasional disgruntled player) and ultimately a lot of fun. You deserve far more gratitude than I ever will.

Dude, you make people happy on a daily basis worldwide. All I do is use taxpayer money. I'm a jaded gamer, and a jaded soldier. Believe me, I don't want to be in your shoes because it's "easier". I enjoy the challenge in my life, but I would want to be there because you get to go to places like Blizzcon and see people smile everyday at what you do. What the hell kind of feeling is that right?

That's powerful.

To know that right now someone is playing a video game for the first time with his father and teaching him the different between Berserker and Defensive stance. That you're letting my buddy Adam talk to his wife over an RFC raid over Vent even while h's deployed in Iraq.

That's worth something.

I ain't going to overly praise you, because I'm jealous... because what what I do may make a difference in the future... but you're making a difference to someone right now. They probably just dinged 80.

@Mirshalak, gotta agree with alot of that. But when frustration coupled with annonymity and a bit of nerdism, people tend to voice their oppinions alot more than they may face to face with someone as manners really is'nt a cencern here and people just want to get their point across in whatever way they can.

P.S good guild name
