We do think there are parts of the priest tree that are too bloated, and we aren't 100% happy with some of the decisions you're forced to make. Getting Meditation is one. Another is trading off Imp DS or Guardian Spirit. This involves a major change to probably all three trees though, so it's probably not going to happen before LK goes live. We are trying to minimize sweeping changes right now, just to minimize introducing potential bugs into the game. But it's something you will probably start seeing before too long, perhaps in bits and pieces or perhaps not. A lot of that will be informed on how priests do in PvP and PvE once Lich King ships as well.

It would be nice (If a little idealistic) if after the CoH nerf is in place and Priests don't have a OP heal to get them invites, the Devs will give a little more focus to improving the tree in a positive way.

Believe it or not, I don't think the Devs favor Shamans or whatever. They've got more important things to do then raid in WoW, I'm betting.

Next expansion.

Please don't paint this up to be a CoH compensation because it's not. Shadow as well as disc need attention on issues that have been plagueing the class since before BC hit.

The meditation issue needs to be addressed ( since forever)

Shadow still needs tools vs. any kind of melee and defensive dispeller.

Shadow's mana problems havn't been fixed

Disc needs their mana problems fixed as in PvE as well as PvP (viper sting,,,,,now really?)

Why can't they just make DS baseline already? Especially now that it's valued by all three specs.

Shadow simply needs more tools. The things they can do in any given situation is so limited and predictable it's really rediculous. The new relevance of crit simply isn't pulling it's weight either.

Its not about compensation, priests have other issues like you said.

As I've said we need some utililty and a good reason to bring a priest to a raid other then gimmick fights like the instructer in Naxx.

I feel that priets deserve some good news about our class. Utility, escape for pvp, some better crit talents (like a palidan), give disc a int to spell power conversion (deep in the tree), up the damage a little more for shadow (crit added to spells helped a little), fix our fiend from getting one shotted now (starts out now with very little life), Fix our IF tanlent (remove the charges, have it last longer, or make it undispellable like other casters), move meditation up, fix DA, remove lightwell, or anything good, thing of something.

^- Just pick anyone of these thing, you asked us before Wrath what we wanted changed to our class and then gave us nothing but a OP CoH and then took it away and some retarded hymns.

And I will. Do you know how little CoH heals a player for? You need to hit it 2 or 3 times and then go back to your other spells. If they uped the healing x2 and up the mana cost x2 or 3 that would be fine but the fights with alot of raid damage one cast of CoH followed by flash heals will not cut it.

Listen move beyound CoH topic for a second and take a look at what if any utility priests bring to a raid. Besides fort not much. Why do some healers not get it? Heroics we'll be good, 10 mans we'll be ok and 25 mans we should be somewhat ok, untill the next hard raid comes along. Priest have been bring up the issues I posted up above for the last year and blizzard desided to give us an OP CoH (which most of the priests did not want) and then did not fix any other issues priests have had for a long time.

This is why priests are mad.

Here is how a raid set up will look like if Ulduar is going to be hard (like GC siad)

Pally - MT / OT, can heal the melee around him with the new HL glyph. bring blessing, and a never ending pool of mana.

Druid - MT / OT healing for fights with silence and a lot of moving. Great for smothing out damage. Bring in combat rez and inervates.

Shaman - after the CoH nerf will be the go to healer for AoE healing. They bring totems, heroism / bloodlust, mana tide, can rez self during combat, have better survivability then priest and stack the best now from haste (can get CH to 1.9 sec casts)

Priests- Jack of all trades, masters of none. can buff fort and cast a CoH CD, and PoM on CD. Can sit outside the raid and buff fort.

Be careful what you wish for you just might get it. Disc pre 3.0 was superior to what it is today.

Greater Heal - Single target heals
Flash Heal - Single target heal but faster
PoH - Group heals
Renew - my one hot
ProM - single target heal that has 5 charge.

These are the spells I use to heal all the time. In a raid, heroic, or pvp. Binding Heal, meh. I can do without that one too.

I have never taken lolwell, I didn't take CoH for raiding. And I only used Holy Nova to pop rogues/druids out of stealth mode in AB. So that means I only take it when I spec to PVP.

Since launch I have had access to 4 out of the 5 spells and only ProM has been added to my spellbar.

Please list the other 7 heals that do not duplicate any of the above.

I'm still waiting for the Shaman review.

Um... shadow has mana problems? Not in PvE. Disc does not have mana problems in PvE either, at least none once the rapture bugs will be fixed.

Personally, I think shadow is fine, at least for PvE. PvP priests as a whole is lacking from what I hear, but I don't PvP.

I personally do not think anything is wrong with the talent trees. Some minor tweaking, number fixing? Sure. But nothing like a re-org.

players threaten to not buy game, blizz promises to fix game. people buy game. blizz forgets promise. many devs made similar promises to different classes. fact is they do not care about your touchy feelings, they care about your $$$.
