0. [BUG] Master Poisoner +15% crit 11/28/2008 10:38:16 AM PST
A friend and I recently identified a bug with the rogue talent 'Master Poisoner' - it is adding 3% incoming crit to poisoned targets for *each* stack of deadly poison for a total of 15% extra crit.
WWS from autoattacking a lvl 80 dummy with a 1h sword and maxed sword skill
http://wowwebstats.com/jukbydxzqy461
~6% crit rate
WWS from autoattacking with the same gear on a lvl 80 dummy with a constant 5 stacks of deadly poison
http://wowwebstats.com/crxrncnopskhc
~19% crit rate
tests with trying to keep 3 stacks on the target were innaccurate at best, but were showing around a 7-9% increase over the baseline.
Please note that fixing this talent will result in a 12% overall reduction of raid dps compared to current levels. I'd suggest looking at how it will effect finely tuned dps checks before fixing this one ;p
does ANYONE care that rogues are giving 12% extra crit to their raids? I looked and looked - this issue was raised on the beta forums and ignored. PLEASE fix this now before content becomes more than faceroll.

WOTLK is like playing FFVII after you found out you could open the PS cover - wake up and smell the 6000 TPS.
I can confirm this bug. It is also possible that multiple rogues having this talent will stack it even further. Not quite sure about that one yet though.

Tested with multiple stacks of deadly, they definitely do stack 3% crit for each application on every stack.
This bug is pretty game breaking. Just a few mutilate rogues and you've got anywhere from 15-60% crit to every dps player in the raid. Sure, the Loatheb Spore buff is fun, but having it permanently is pretty ridiculous.
This bug has been in since at least the 3.0 release. Seems like a long time for no one to notice, but I suppose things get overlooked occasionally. Still, it'd be nice if something as completely broken as this got acknowledged a little faster once it is found.
