grizzly hills was a bit overwhelming at first, so many quests in such a small area, and all the quests are around the same area. always found something else that needed to be done in the same area. The 1 quest i absolutely hated was the one where you have to throw boulders down at the dwarves.

Everyone was already down there killing them off so it took me forever to get them before the time runs out. also i kept sliding off the rocks and dieing, it was very frustrating.

Now Zul' Drak. that place is a hole i hate it their, everything is so dark i cant see where im running to half the time, most quests are all out of the way of eachother.

The quest rewards in EVERY zone suck. D:

PvP is the only thing that matters in Terran Mill, Moonglade and Nagrand. I don't see cloak of shadow or shadowmelt. TIGER BITE, TIGER BITE, TIGER BITE, TIGER BITE, TIGER BITE, TIGER BITE.

Q u o t e:
I mean, every single zone in northrend is awesome, except grizzly hills. It just has too much of a vanilla wow feel, like a alterac mountains meets hillsbrad foothills. The quests are crap, the rewards are horrible, the mobs suck. Everything I can think about this god forsaken zone is awful.

I felt the same way about Howling Fjord and sholzar Basin

I liked Grizzly hills though especially loved the new dwarfs wish the alliance dwarfs looked that cool.

borean tundra.... now that place sucks
There were a couple things I disliked about Borean Tundra.

First, the music. It's atmospheric, but gets boring and old fast, for me at least. In Howling Fjord, I always listened to the music, but in Borean Tundra, I mostly turned it off and listened to something else.

Second, I felt like there is a lot of land used for very little or seemingly little, or maybe it's just that things were too neatly parcelled out such that you never went to the pools in the middle unless you were on quest from the Airstrip, and you never went to the Scourge parts unless on quest from the keep (except that one part to kill the rock elemental), and you never went to the eastern parts unless on quest from Amber Ledge. And then right in the middle were all the D.E.H.T.A. quests - like no hunting or animal preservation was needed anywhere else in the zone.

I personally enjoyed Grizzly Hills. While it may have been a bit more frustrating if I didn't have my flying mount, I enjoyed the stories and atmosphere.

i really liked the zone, the time period i had played it though, was throughout the weekend last week when i had been up for over 45ish hours, so i went to bed the next day with the music from grizzly hills stuck in my head, that zone reminds me of where i grew up and was overall a nice break from the doom and gloom of northrend. i didn't mind the flow of the quests either. *shrug*

EDIT: wow my very first.... first? this is like my 5th post ever on the forums since dec 2004...

At the end of the day, it's is a game, no one cares how many mobs you killed and how epic your gear is.

Honestly I hated it at first but it definitely grew on me and the forest scenery was very well done, much better than in vanilla WoW. It just all looked so natural and organic.

The music was fine. God forbid they have music that matches the scenery. If you don't like it turn your Avenge Sevenfold back on. It's easy as that.

But personally I think it's a great change of pace and I have enjoyed my time there more than in Borean Tundra or even Dragon Blight just because the landscape was so much more interesting.

Of course DB still takes the cake for me out of all the zones I've been through as being my favorite. Can't beat that epic quest chain in there.

Grizzly Hills was my favorite zone by far. However the travel was annoying at points.

I liked it simply because of its atmosphere. Hinterlands/Hillsbrad were my favorite zones leveling up, even though I didn't quest in them often on my Alliance characters 'cause I found the number of quests to be lacking. I'd absolutely love for Blizzard to revisit these zones like they did with Theramore, because there's a huge amount of potential there. Something with Ravenholdt/The Syndicate maybe?

The thing is, when you compared questing and leveling in Outlands to the old world, it's no comparison, Outlands is so much better. Then you compare Northrend to Outlands, and Northrend is even better. But then you go back and level an alt and you feel like you're playing a broken game. I don't think adding a few extra quests here and there, as well as introducing some sort of traveling reduction (like that Theramore quest where you're ported to Stormwind and then ported back) would be difficult at all. Wow I went on a tangent there didn't I...

I loved Grizzly hills and haven't turned the music off yet in Northrend for any zone. Seeing the old faces again through out Grizzly Hills made it awesome for me.

Yeah, i was startled by how much stronger everything is in Icecrown. Takes you by surprise after becoming comfortable in other zones. Probably died more there than i did in the rest of Northrend.

That whole zone is pretty epic.

My only gripe about grizzly hills is that some of the quest chains were too linear.. i.e. Quest giver sends you back and forth between town and the same place 5 or 6 times. That gets monotonous.
