For years, I've been pronouncing it "DAL-uh-ran". It has never occurred to me that there could be any other way to say it.

Until I was talking to my brother on the phone the other day, and he called it "duh-LAR-an". And I realized that that's a perfectly valid way to interpret it.

So, which is it? Or is there a third possible pronounciation I haven't thought of?

I say it DAL ar an.

Some people in my guild say dal ARR in.

I always thought

doll - uh - ron

Dal-uhr-rahn.

Blizzard devs pronounced it "DAL-a-ran" at Blizzcon 07.

Dal-ur-an.

I've always said "DAW la ron" or "Dollaron".

Russian style:

Duh luh RUHN.

Emphasis on last syllable. Also notice the lack of RRRs. Yes, sometimes we don't roll our Rs as much.

Of course, you could just play WC3 and listen to the in-game characters say the name. The pronunciation isn't really a mystery.

It's DOLL-uh-rawn.
