Not quite 20k/minute because the CD on Ice Block, but you could probably avoid that by being a bit smarter in your roundup and mana barrier.

I was just thinking of an arc/frost build you could pick up at 74 with +50% crit damage and doing this with my mage.

Northeast, Scarlet Onslaught camps.

But the place OP found is actually better, it has more mobs. You can't get more than about 10ish mobs in the Scarlet Onslaught camps. Even so, that's 8k experience per camp at your level, and there's 3-4 of them and they respawn fast, so you can cycle through them.

Hey Doomcaster, thanks for posting the vid and the spot. Just a tip that seems to work a lot better for me for AOE pulling - I don't use frost armor. The mobs will stay clustered a lot better and you won't have to ice block to give them time to clump on you, and generally you can be finished gathering before they break through your ice barrier.

This means that you can AE once to dismount, run towards the last few stragglers to keep the main pack from getting that many hits on you, then nova everything at once when they're all in range and blink + refresh barrier.

The extra armor from frost armor is nice, but honestly the extra time taken to wait out the frostbite procs causes you to either take tons of damage while you wait for them to clump up or forces you to use a cooldown on ice block. Try it out and see how you like it, it works a ton better for me.

Whoa, you would be correct, sir! Shatter barrier had me thinking frostbite procs were going off. It's good advice for AOE nonetheless, and I guess you could always ride the rest of the mobs into the ones that are shatter nova'd and frost nova them all on top of each other.

Good catch, I totally missed that :)

A "decent" area to aoe pull is simply in howling fjorfd with the packs of animals you can get about 4k a pull, this is only worth while at 70 and 71. The thing that makes it good xp is that no one kills them and there is a ton of packs close together.

Beyond that if you ever need money when runecloth explodes in price(10g a stack on bleeding hollow atm) you can do this in strath and pull 50 to 60 mobs at once.I make about 400 - 500 gold in a hour there atm so in 3 months it should be like 600 -700 gold an hour.

Frostweave is selling for insane prices atm but it will drop to 15g a stack i am sure with in the next 2 - 3 weeks. thing about strath s stick to the easy large pulls and avoid the elites near the baron there harder to stack and 2 mobs can silence. also the scarlet mobs are a waste of time.

Greater eternals: 10 to 14 gold
illusion dust = 18 to 23 gold a stack
Runecloth - 6 to 10 gold a stack( each run is about 8 - 9 stacks)
Greys = 10 - 15 gold a run
Random blues = 5 to 20 gold
Large brillaints = 3 to 5 gold
About 15 gold a run in silver.

I'm to high for Ford. Video is possible 16-20k per minute. I'd like to see this and test for myself.

Keep in mind heavy pulling like this is reliant on ice block which will slow down the farm process greatly. If the area around it can support 5 -8 mob pulls that are not being farmed by many other frost mages/other people then this is the way to go even with the faction lose from questing.

IMO its best farm mobs with the worst drops(IE no frostweave) because it is less likely you will have competition on the pulls.
