Anyone seen an ETA when we'll be getting dual specs? Patch 3.1 is the patch i heard, but when is that supposed to come out?

As far as I know, dual spec was not confirmed to come out in 3.1, just in an early content patch "soon" after the expansion.

Indeed. I had HUGE plans when I hit 80 to respec resto, grind Badges like crazy (or Emblems or w/etf), and do ALL the quests in Icecrown to be able to afford my Epic Flier that I bought for my Priest instead (guess which one I benched after they made CoH a noob smart heal)

And then I saw Lava Burst crit for 2600. :(

What ever happened to the ol' fashioned "RESPEC" option? I'm sure we can heal just fine in our off specs. Example: Moonkins can heal dungeons as they level. Shadow priests can heal dungeons, also. Elemental Shamans can heal as well. Pallies... Hmm... I'm not sure about them. :(

Not with lvl 80 heroic dungeons we don't. You are either holy/resto/disc, or expect to wipe a lot. Lvl 80 heroics are harder than Naxx.

I'm not using my Holy Priest till they put in dual-speccing...leveling is just too painful as Holy. Until then, my DK is my main, and my 70 Priest will earn rested bonus. I think she's already capped out on that right now...T_T

I'm looking forward to it, but I'm not having problems healing normal 5-mans in moonkin spec.

I am finding leveling no problem. Really, cranky horde are my primary concern ... the quests are painfully easy. Note I also tailored my spec a bit to get a bit more damage output and mana regeneration.

um. other than the fact that you can level holy just fine, why not spec shadow, lvl, and when dual specs come out go holy/shadow???

I prefer holy as I can jump into instances or quests as need be. Also, because I am holy its much easier to get a warrior/rogue to tag along.

I don't do bad damage with this spec. I am sure its nothing compared to shadow but I am pretty happy with it. Oh - and never having to drink is nice ... mind you I can thank shadow for that.

you can be shadow and still heal instances fine. they're jokes. just like everything else content wise in wotlk. either way i was talking to the priest who was saying he wasnt going to lvl it because it was holy.

Ah well - everyone to there own. Never really liked shadow that much and I know holy like the back of my hand.

And yes, then instances have been a big disappointment. Not even particularly imaginative.

You may want to hear a date, but they dont have one for you. So just shut up and wait.

I agree its good customer service, I work in that industry and if you dont know something for sure, why make up things? Its better to under promise and over deliver.

I see now that my sense of humor, poor as it was, does not translate over the internet. Live and learn.

I cant wait for dual spec, just for pvp alone.

I'm leveling just fine as holy and with 3 points in spirit tap, I never have to drink.

No matter what people say, questing/soloing as a healer spec still pales in comparison to doing so as a DPS spec (and yes, paladins, I know your situation is worse with gear). I'm respeccing at least once a day because up until today I was the only 80 priest in my guild and one of the only healers, yet I prefer shadow for raiding and especially for questing.

I guess the short version: I can't WAIT until dual-spec is here.
