Just had a few quick feral druid questions:

- Are there plans to make Savage Roar persist through shapeshifting, but only affect cat form? This is mainly a PvP issue, but certainly has application in PvE as well, should we need to off tank for 3-5 seconds, battle res, off heal, feral charge, bash, etc. Though I'd mainly like to see this for PvP, since it'd be too risky to use SR if shapeshifting kills it, and it's a huge part of what makes feral druid DPS scale correctly. Ghostcrawler hinted that it'd be reasonable to give it the "dash treatment"... any more thoughts on this line?

- The new feral mana talent: This was presented to us on the beta forums a few weeks back, but we haven't heard anything about it since. Will it drop with the other feral talents in an upcoming patch? Can we find out which talent will get it?

Thanks!

Yes, we are making this change.

It will probably be something like Primal Tenacity reducing the cost of Bear Form, Cat Form, and Dire Bear Form by 17/33/50% in addition to its current effects.

O hai Mr. Crab. Can haz answers plees?: (These are PVP oriented)

1. Feral healing is the worst of any hybrid right now. I really loved the playstyle of a feral in TBC as a triage of damage/CC/defense(bear form/heal). You guys nerfed Nurturing Instinct by a massive 30%, and it hurts. It was one of the best PVP talents we could get, and now it's almost worthless. Is it your plan to make feral healing servicable in the arena? If so, please consider restoring this talent and adding something further to allow Ferals to heal. (Suggestions: Un-purgable hots, an instant regrowth here and there, etc.) If healing is NOT something you'd like ferals to do, I feel that we need some other defensive measure in order to be effective. SR and barkskin in forms help, but cat druids still get rolled over.

2. Berserk. Ghost, please. BERSERK. I have contributed to and compiled quite a few threads on the talent. It wasn't impressive on beta, and it still isn't. Being stunned for 5s ruins a third of my 51-pointer (that's one bash, kidney shot, or deep freeze). The CC immunity has to come back. The burst damage, tbh, is not that high. Once you're out of energy, your damage goes from formidable to "above normal." It's incredibly lame from a ferals perspective to have immunity to priest and warlock (and warrior?) CC, but nothing else. You have expressed concern about us having "fun" before: shifting ourselves oom and being stunned/gouged/blinded/sapped to death during our "Watch me shine!" moments is NOT fun.

3. My cat form is still ugly. I hate to be "like this," but you did indeed say we were long overdue for customizable forms... I wish you'd at least update the tauren cat form. :S

EDIT: Clarifying application to PVP and not PVE

What about removing the +20% int we have on heart of the wild and adding it there?

I agree with adding it in to HotW. With int on none of our gear at 80 shifting will hurt all feral druids, so it should be included in a talent we all pick up.

Or you could just add it in "Survival of the fittest" :)

Awesome news here. I'll love not having to have to worry about running out of mana as much when shifting frequently.

By the way, speaking of feral druid changes, does anyone know what the plans are for druid form appearance customization? I know they were once going to have appearance-changing druid glyphs in beta (red & yellow lnyx skins and polar bear appearance options).

That method was apparently canceled due to planning a better way either not consuming minor glyph slots or adding more customization, but I lost track of what's happening there.

I just got the Baby Blizzard Bear non-combat pet (nice surprise!), and I was thinking Glyph of the White Bear would have gone along perfectly.

Wait. No. Rather, add it to Primal Precision. It would be fitting for something that decreases an energy cost sometimes to decrease a mana cost too.

More importantly, some of us would like having both this and the +20% intellect. In between base intellect, buffs, and so on, some do get moderate benefit from the 20% intellect increase, not something desirable to lose.

Even with no intellect on your gear, you yourself would still have 265 intellect raid-buffed (with AI + BoK)
becoming 318 intellect provided that the Heart of the Wild intellect bonus is kept. That's 800 extra mana,
of some value.

Primal precision is our "hit talent." I don't think the +20% int is of any significant use, GC told us it was intended for ferals to be able to throw on healing gear and be able to off heal with it however this isn't quite practical with how the game has evolved. If i'm gonna heal i'm gonna respec to do it.

primal precision is kinda low in the tree isn't it? I think they want it so that no resto druid can even think about looking at it.

In a PVP build you wouldn't get Primal Tenacity?

Stop asking for the 20% off of int on HotW. That lets us heal when we're feral spec'd. Not great healing, but plenty enough to get me through normal Northrend instances.

Actually, with the changes to spell power and base healing amounts, it was a net increase of around 130% compared to the older version.

I do agree however, that an instant heal would be useful.

Q u o t e:
2. Berserk.

The full CC immunity really isn't that warranted. It is very useful in pvp and you need to remember that in a group context, you will have someone around to block CC/pressure healers etc which will allow you a better burn. I used to feel the same, but after practical tests, you can unload the short duration pretty quickly. With primal tenacity and DR on stuns, it really isnt that bigger issue. I can't see why you would use it if a rogue where ontop of you anyway.

I can agree here - it would be great to have some news on when our Extreme Makeovers are en route.

20% of nothing is nothing.

Or i guess if were counting base stats... 20% of crap is crap.

I think the person you quoted was talking about healing as feral spec but switching to resto gear which is done frequently while leveling.

But it's still something. And I don't see why people are asking to put it on a talent where something would have to be taken off instead of a pvp talent considering this buff is entirely for pvp.

Might I suggest simply giving ferals a buff that reduces the mana cost of all spells by 50% for X amount of seconds after shifting out of form?

As well, can we change Heart of the Wild to give us int based on a percentage of another stat? Maybe agility or stam, whichever is higher.
