Holy:

@Lightwell (LW):
- Being literally killable just by anyone.
- Deselects the player's current target if he/she clicks on the LW.

@Guardian Spirit (GS):
- GCD is now triggered when used after last beta patch.
- If used on a priest that has Spirit of Redemption, Spirit of Redemption will cancel out GS's effect upon death.

Discipline:

@Penance: Still requires facing target to be casted (Healing purpose-wise, of course)

Maybe I have missed confirming posts about these abilities somewhere, but I thought these were supposed to be "fixed".

Edited: Added another "bug" between SpoR and GS.

These are by design. You generally need to select things to work on them, not just click them. We designed Lightwell to be very fragile since it now heals so well. We didn't want it to be used primarily as a tank-healing tool because it would be too powerful.

The spirit bug is known. I'll have to investigate what the design is on the GCD.

I think it was just too hard to get Penance to work correctly with facing for damage but not healing, so we just changed it to not have a directional component for the next patch.

Thanks for the fast turn around on these questions and being sturdy enough to separate nastiness and QQ from the real questions.

Understandable. Please, though, particularly watch statistical representation of priests on top teams in level 80 arena (either through your own data or realmhistory.net), in case they turn out to have far less survivability and competitiveness than you expect on both disc and holy specs as well as shadow. That would bypass the low signal to noise ratio of subjective QQing.

Yes, this is working as intended. Not only are priests gap fillers, but we are here to increase the self confidence of rogues. I almost managed to do something after trinketing in dragonsbite the other night - this clearly is a bug and should be addressed.

So what if it is? Don't bosses hit for over 30% of the tanks HP anyway? That would void the lightwell charge at least. The old lightwell was better in general. (This might be from a lack of knowlage though, does it get killed in AoEs? If not then its just lackluster from a PvP standpoint. ) And the thing where when you click on it, That means people lose DPS or screw up their rotation, Is there a macro command you can make that lets us click on it without targeting it? This would fix that problem right up lickity split.

Good to hear that. Can't complain on this.

Thanks for the buff, we needed it, and it'll fix disc a little.

Now GC, why can't Inner Fire be an armor spell?

( I wont troll if you'll reply to threads that deserve it, keep at it :) )

Blizzard doesn't know what a priest is, by the sound of things. Or even wants to acknowledge them.

Ok I feel great tyvm! I thought you were supposed to boost the confidence of hunters though, isn't that like the whole purpose for your class? So hunters have someone to farm for free?

For one patch on Beta you had lightwell working well, the patch before it got health, when you added the health and made it change your target, it went from an acceptable spell back to LoLwell. Melee aren't clicking on something that changes their target. They weren't really clicking on it before, but with that change you assured it won't get touched, as to its fragility, you made it so fragile that it gets owned in PvP which is once again...LoLwell.

Is it intended that a buff that requires a 23 point investment in the disc tree is weaker than a base shaman totem?

Yes, this is the issue. You made Lightwell good, and then because it was finally good, you made it stupid again.

I have noticed that I do not see mana returns from PW:Shield absorbs (using Rapture) when my shield is cast on a friendly target, but I do see them when the shield is cast on myself. Has anyone else noticed this? Am I still getting the mana but its just not being displayed on my UI?

it only gives you mana back when the shield actually absorbs damage

Yes, when I am soloing and a mob hits it, I see blue +XXX numbers indicating mana has been gained. In a 5-man dungeon, when I cast my Shield on the tank and he is getting hit, I do not see these numbers coming up. The shield is absorbing, but I'm just not seeing the numbers come up on my UI and was wondering if I was getting the mana back.

I'd still like to know why going into Improved Death/Angel/Spirit of Redemption after being school locked...keeps me school locked. I also love it when it happens right as I die and thus waste half the time of my 21 point talent. Amazing fun...

you, complaining about something like that? the easiest class to play since day 1, complaining about something like that? as long as killable toems are completely hindering shamans in pvp, you have no right to complain about something like that
