Is anyone loosing interest in Lich King due to the fact that it is obsurdly easy. Not that the game has been particularly hard from the begining but I seem to remember that the instances in outlands were much harder as I was leveling then compared to now. Where is the challenge of these instances? I like doing instances because they offer more of a challenge than the quest mobs all over. I love the fact that they are short and quick but its just not fun when you run though the instance and there is little to no chance of dieing (except when you pull 3 groups when your healer is tabed out getting into vent and didn't say anything).

I really hope that Heroics and Naxx are hard cause if I run through Naxx 10 or heroics with as few wipes as I have had so far I don't think this game will be interesting enough to keep playing.

I have sucessfully tanked everything up through Violet Hold as a lvl 73 in a mix of t5 and badge gear and 1 or 2 NR blues. VH is a lvl 75-77 instance. I should not be able to successfully tank it as a lvl 73.

Q u o t e:

These instances are suppose to be tanked by people in a mix of greens and blues, why would high level raid gear not be better?

I have seen blues drop and quest rewards that are almost as good as what I am wearing (some of them even debatably better). From what I have seen (of other tanks in NR gear mostly) at my level we are about the same. I tend to have a littlt more HP cause of how I had gemed my old gear.

Even at having raid gear going into an instance where the bosses are 4 levels above you should be challengeing. It is meant to be done by 75-77 lvl players in greens and blues.

Like I said I hope it becomes more challenging as I get up there.

Except that he's right. They can't design the content to be difficult for those in 70 purples without making it impossible to people in 70 greens and blues, which is where people will be in 3 months when we're done and the new players are leveling. Or when we're leveling our alts. Or when we're not being complete QQ monsters.

Q u o t e:
As stated before, levels 70-75 are going to be pretty easy, given current gear levels. At 75+ it will be more challenging as we will no longer overgear much of the content.

Of course, you could probably have reasoned this out for yourself, if you would stop and think about it for thirty seconds.

fixed....what...some people need a little more time +)

We actually think it's a good thing that players are running the level-up dungeons. Too often in WoW these were viewed as a distraction at best or perhaps even a waste of time from grinding on mobs or completing quests.

Let's see what happens when more players are running heroics. They seem to be providing much more of the challenge you're looking for.

This, x1000. I have been feeling the same way about how easy everything (quests, mobs, elites, group quests, instances, etc) has been in LK, but once you get into heroics it becomes a little more challenging. Once you outgear heroics (T7? T8?) I'm sure they'll be trivial again, but from what I've seen so far, heroics aren't pushovers.

Personally I like the small dungeon format for leveling up. Put together a quick group and knock out a dungeon is a nice break from continuous questing.

They aren't "hard" because you don't want people to have to go respec holy to heal it and prot to tank it, just for a little level up instance.

First...

third =(

Anyways, why did you even respond to him. Its obvious for us that have higher gear (not this toon of course) that these instance are tuned for people that hit the ground running from 1-80. We spent 2 years at 70 getting gear that is equal to level 77 gear.

Common sense dictates everything would be easy. I ran an instance with a T6 tank and he had to TAKE GEAR OFF in order ro get enough rage b/c everything was being dodged or parried.

Violence is like Duct tape. It works better the more you use.

We ran Utgarde Keep and Cot Stratholme heroic today with a group a fully sunwell geared people. It was pretty easy too but with a lot more damage, the tank died a few times due to crits (not crit immune yet). So we wiped 2-3 times in each of them.

Level does not have as much significance are you are giving it here.

Does the raid min/max every slot or just the one the Ret Paladin wants to get into?

Q u o t e:

Replace all your gear with green quest and drop items. It will be more difficult then.

As I said in my post I have found comparably geared tanks in NR gear at 73. I knew that the first several instances would be very easy but tanking a lvl 75-77 instance while still at lvl 73 should be at least a little bit of a challenge (as you guys said 75+ should be getting harder-but from running VH it doesn't seem to be harder and why I waited till I ran mid-range content before posting).

Thanks for the reassurance GC. I hope that heroics will make running instances more interesting.

Not that you'll respond back to this but I noticed that bosses seem to have a smaller loot table in Lich King. Is this by design? So you don't have to run the leveling dungeon 100 times to get your piece?

to a point they still are a waste unless you get a good group. I still wouldn't pug the dungeons if my life depended on it because it is still only on par with questing from a reward/XP perspective if you chain pull fairly quickly. I cant stand it when pugs take 2 minutes per pull because they need 1 min for a bio, another 30s to mark the 3 mobs and then 30s to actually kill the mobs.

the dungeons themselves are good and heroics are actually a challenge (played on beta) but if you ever find a way to nerf stupid please let us know.

Why can a Warior manage to uncork and chug a potion in combat wearing plate gauntlets while juggeling a sword and shield yet a bearform druid can not. You'd think the bear could just eat the flask.
