Level 71 shoulders out of nexus are better than your S2 shoulders.

There are similar upgrades.

My ret pally in a mix of S3/S4/ZA/Hyjal/BT gear has already received a few upgrades and is Level 73.

Most new good gear is in the Instances, not from quests or random drops. Crafted gear is kinda half and half (most good stuff is really high level). I already got a new dagger and shoulders from Nexus quests.

Even at 76 I haven't replaced much of my Kara gear, outside of a few new blues I got from instance rewards.

Also I'm getting tired of getting the same green breastplate with like 2 more stats every couple of quests. Just give me an option to turn the green quest rewards into gold instead of having to sell them.

The reason BC gear was so much better at the start was because of the gear gap pre-BC. Specifically, the T2.5 and T3 was so much better than even T1 that Blizzard needed/wanted to put peeps on more even footing for the start, hence the massive upgrades in the first zone (and remember, when you moved through the next couple zones the quest rewards were crap compared to the HFP zones).

They learned their lesson and T6 isn't that huge a step from T4 (it's still better), so for LK they specifically stated that it will be a more smooth progression. That means that if you're in epics you won't get a lot of upgrades to start, but peeps in quest greens/blues will be moving up.

Sidegrades only here.

That which I pass on, but I did find a replacement healing cloak (Quest reward, Nexus). even though I'm feral. My other characters will get more benefit from leveling in Northrend then this druid ever will.

Really, who? Because I'm not seeing it.

My ret paladin is having difficulty finding gear, mainly because very few pieces have hit while nearly everything has haste.

I've taken a few quest rewards, but my gear wasn't so great in the first place since this was just an alt before the expansion.

for my tanking set utgarde keep had my first upgrade ring. It was clearly an upgrade over my kara ring. Other than that no upgrades to my tank,dps, or my pvp gear. I dont carry my healing gear so I dont know for sure if there were any upgrades to it yet. I just vendor it all anyway.

Didn't see my first real upgrade until level 73.
