Meh im not worried. Its like hunters with exotic pets. If you were gonna spec bm you'd take readiness. Am i happy that our 51 pt talent sucks? no. But am i happy to get readiness in its steed ? sure its a very useful talent.

pve rogues have to take it or the spec is at least 9% behind in dps.

GC told rogues that 'we do not want you zipping around the battlefield like warriors.' He also said that rogues have to rely on their allies for pvp mobility. Yes, you are a troll little mage.

Garrote got a silence TWO YEARS AGO.

I'm surprised there has been no response to this thread. Aside from the two trolls, the feedback here has been unanimous

We should keep the discussion of whether Fan of Knives is worth using a little separated from the idea of whether you can just AE your way through dungeon content.

What I mean is that getting in the mode where only AE matters so we keep buffing everyone's AE doesn't really get the game into a place where we want it.

By most account so far, you can't really AE your way through the heroic 5-player dungeons, so we'd like to see more people get to 80 and try those first. It is not our intent that CC and single-target dps are just a thing of the past. Sure Nexus and Drak'Tharon may be a little easy, but you know, at least people are running the level-up dungeons instead of skipping them. That's a good thing. :)

Fan of Knives is a separate issue. We do want it to provide rogues with decent AE in situations where they need it, and it may not be doing that enough right now. We would just need to set up the mechanics to where you never wanted to use it on single targets.

Does FoK and KS still scale better with slower weapons? I haven't tried either of these abilities with daggers yet but there are reports that these abilities are still scaling better with slower weapons.

Any talk on whether changes are coming to HfB to make it more interesting for PVE and/or have more PVP viability? Is KS ever going to return us to our original target? This ability is great for solo grinding but is hardly worth using in group situations since rogues typically have a focus fire target or are on interrupt duty in a lot of aoe situations. Ending up 10 yards from our target is a major issue and makes it frustratingly unusable in a lot of situations.

Were you to do this.... I would be insanely... INSANELY happy.

Face it GC, aoe in most situations that I've seen, is a skill-less portion of the instance. Its just a bunch of non-elite garbage. So why should one class be left out of that? I COMPLETELY get what you mean, that in the higher instances, there will be tougher elite pulls and AoE will play a smaller factor, but the tiny AoE packs will ALWAYS be there.

As it stands now it is not De-Cent, at all. In ten seconds the honey moon is over. It should have no CD except for the time it takes to regen the energy. Then add a safeguard to it so using it on one target would be foolish.

Thank you for the response. =D

I'll save the hunger for blood issues for after the content patch if nothing changes about it.

And the point of this was? We all know rogues will not have even close to the best AoE. No one EVER has said any different. As it stands now, we waste combo points spamming sinister strike and tab maybe getting three or four swings in total.

Is that your definition of Decent, adequate, fair, passable?

Maybe if Rogues did the job they were meant to do in PVE then they wouldn't need to over compensate in PVP... cough... BC... Cough... out dpsed by hunters and warlocks even with legendary weapons... cough

Do you have any idea what you are saying? Before they added it we were looking at sprint lasting 3 seconds longer, gouge cooldown being reduced by 1 sec.

Do not suggest to them to remove the +10 energy for some craptastic cooldown change.

Critic just for the sake of being a critic.... how about reducing the CD on kidney shot by 4 seconds?

That's a similar CD to intercept. I NEVER suggested a Cooldown 4 piece bonus. I said the warrior one is awesome, not that we need exactly the same one. We can have anything but 10 extra energy. Stop the incessant need to add your 2 cents in such an obtrusive manner.

How about the old Dungeon set bonus? Kidney shot gives 300 haste rating for 6 seconds afterward?

Be creative instead of flaming

lol

or remove the cd. raise it to 60 energy. does 20% weapon damage for each person hit. So if it hits 5 people it will do 100% weapon damage to all of them. Less than 5 and it will do less than 100%. If you hit one guy it will do 20% weapon damage.

Also, make it not go over 100% no matter how many guys you hit.

And can the animation be prettier??? We saw what you did with volley. Me likey the change. The initial volley change looked very... vulgar and sexual, but the new Volley looks SCHWEET.

God I would love that, Id save it just to wait for when that annoying person in the party dips low. "My bad, finger slipped, for the 5th time."

Oh, and to keep on topic, Im lvling my rogue, and I almost never get invites anymore to the instance grind groups. Since they have been aoe tanking everything theyd rather take an aoe class that makes the xp grinding even faster, so Ive been slowing falling even further behind.

Also, our 51 pt talents are pure garbage. I only have the 51pt combat talent because I havnt respecced since I got the refund with 3.0. Sad thing is that the combat one is the best of the 3, and its still not worth having.

You get a gold circle.
It's a gold star, but I cut the corners off so you guys don't hurt yourselves.

See this GC? I feel this times ten. I actually leveled my PRIEST faster than my rogue with holy nova.. the weakest AOE ever made. I feel like screaming when I ask to join a group and they say "sorry we need aoe."

What???? And i cant be mad at them. Why take a class that can't aoe? What do i bring that the other AOE classes don't? I offer absolutely nothing AND if there is AoE, i am insufficient. Sap is annoying since it must be set up before hand slowly... So as a CC class a Ret or Mage is FAR superior.

It's driving me nuts. No AoE, last chosen not re-applicable CC, lowest survival melee class with "utility" that is easily ignored. (poison immune bosses mean neither of our utility is viable)

If that isn't bad enough. Our 51 pointers either don't work or even you don't like how they work (HfB)

I'm sad =(

Thats just it, we wont.

For combat and sub there is not enough room in the cycle to use FoNs because it would make holes where rupture or expose armor drop. It doesn't grant a combo point, as you know, but what you don't know is that this alone is a giant deterrent to us using it outside of an AoE situation. You already have the limiting mechanic built in!\

Mutilate I can say almost the same thing for, because you know, the 50 energy cost that doesn't even scale that well with fast daggers people use for focused attacks these days.

If anything, swap it with feint at 72 .

so people don't level up with rogues thinking we're useless in dungeons... my "overall" dps for instances so far is only above healers, I'm behind everyone else by a huge margin... if we just check the boss, I'm neck and neck with the ret, sometimes ahead, but overall everyone can DPS now, and everyone can DPS better with AoE.... that leaves me feeling pretty useless, and makes rogues look bad to other classes on the way to 80... that means bad public opinion and fewer raid invites later.

Finally a suggestion to make it work better with daggers... make the energy cost scale like shiv? Add together the two weapon's delays and then make a gradiant just like shiv, it'd be much more fair to daggers.

Kiting will be a serious issue in the arena and battlegrounds at 80.

Just because people are running around bare naked without resillience while they level doesn't mean the spec will stay as strong at 80 when people begin to protect themselves once more.

K.

i don't want to "evoid" hunger for blood. And if I take it... everyone will be able to "evoid" me very easily. So thanks for "stoped" reading my post. You wouldn't have added anything useful anyway.

And... Combat is the strongest pvp spec at 80... your facts are twisted.

Sorry GC, but FoK is not a 'decent AE'. Not remotely.

I guess we shouldn't be worried until heroics are being run, though i fail to see how that would change the issue. Its not like on reg we are pulling 3 groups and the AoEing, we were just pulling one group at a time.

I ran the Old Kingdom with a pally tank whose damage was <1% under mine and a T6 enhance shaman. We are not bad players. He did this b/c while we were only attacking one target his concecrate and shields where hitting all 3/4/5 mobs.

I shudder to think what the charts would have looked like if there was a mage/lock/hunter/boomkin/fury warr/dk/ret paladin (notice how i included almost every DPS spec in that).
