You guys also have to consider the line at the store. You arent gonna be able to walk in and leave with five minutes.

note: I think it wouldn't be fair for East coast folks to wait till 3 am to play (Honestly though you know many will still be playing at 3 am and onward to the morning). Truly this should be better thought out by Blizzard's release crew.

Christ, people really do #!%%% about every little thing....

You have to remember that not everyone plays on the servers that mirror their own time zone. For instance, I have some friends that play on my server (where the server time is PST) who live on the east coast, so it wouldn't be fair for them not to be able to play just because their server time doesn't match up with their actual time.

Does this mean that "Pacific" servers won't go online until midnight Pacific time?

so does that mean that the retail stores that sell the game will be able to sell it to me at exactly 9 pm. PST?

People on the east coast get to know who's getting kicked off shows like Dancing with the Stars, American Idol, etc. I wonder how many people complain about that as well.

I don't really see why it matters. I don't have my copy until 12:00, because of our stores not openning until 12:00. Technically, knowing that servers go live at 9:00 (for the west coast), Blizzard and the retail stores, should start selling WotLK @ 9:00 (for the west coast). Just would make sense.

The only thing that goes against that is the illogical reasoning saying, "It has to be the 13th. It has to be the 13th. Even if people start playing the game at different times, and some people will get a strong head-start, it has to be the 13th. You can't buy the game at 9:00."

Lame, but w/e. Can't change anything now. Stores will sell at 12:00, nuff said.

I get to watch my shows twice, like family guy on adult swim ... yay for central time.

A guy from Gamestop call me today to tell me they have my copy on the store but here (Puerto Rico) Gamestop will not do the midnight event. I will have to wait until thursday noon to play WotLK :(

I don't really see why, perhaps for future releases, Blizzard can't collaborate with stores to sell them "at the same time" so to speak.

This still seems fuzzy. Can we just get a simple "Yes west coast gamers could play at 9PM if they had the game" or "No, west coast gamers will not be able to log on until midnight their time"? The initial confirmation sounded like a yes, but this "clarification" is just more confusing than helpful...

Ummm, just for the sake of clarity. I live in Newfoundland, Canada. Although I'll be able to purchase a copy of WotLK an hour and a half before those living in the Eastern time zone, I won't be able actually use it until it goes live Eastern time (1:30 am my time)?

Definitely wrong, that would have been 3am my time, and i was up and running shortly after midnight.
