Did the Nerfs not go in?

They went in. BGs are a terrible place to look for balance, and you should have been owning Ret Paladins before this patch anyway.

I didnt say there were owning me (tho some were well played and did win fights vs me)

They were owning most everyone else.

One Pally in WSG went over 30 kills before he died and he didnt always have a healer near by or run in a group/ duo.

Maybe he was just a good player and geared out. o.O

Then refer to my previous statement about BGs being a terrible place to look at balance, especially a small sample. I've been in BGs where I went 30-2 with no healer and I've been in BGs where I went 4-12 with pug healers and everything else in between. BGs are inherently imbalanced due to team composition and gear differences as well as simple skill levels of participating players, and they always will be.

You shouldn't expect all ret pallys to drop to the bottom of the kill list in the BGs just from these nerfs. I was topping the kill charts in the BGs before 3.x ever came out. Well geared and well played ret pallys could always tear someone's head off in the BGs. It's the arena where they had so many problems.

He could have been picking off low health players, taking a breather in between kills to get his CD's back, or numerous other things.


Or maybe he was good. :P

Seems that Ret was fine all along and ppl just needed to l2p.

Option #2: Delete the paladin class because there appears to be no way to balance it and NOBODY is happy at this point, PVE or PVP.

Walking into a BG in full Brutal I can dominate if I choose to over just about any class. I actually know my class and I have learned classes I play against which means over the standard BG farmer I am already a step ahead.

Every determining factor in a BG and who dominates is look at the healing list. If that same Paladin has top healing and top damage done then they obviously understand how to play and do not require a healbot. If on the other hand the Palaidin just has damage done and has very little healing he was healbotted and if he did not lead with a healbot he is bad.

Oddly enough this goes the same way with every class in the game the ability to dominate via healbot is a common denominator.

Ret got plenty nerfed the RV dot is total trash and on a solo task against any healer in equal gear we are SOL.

I cant speak to much off it, i really dont care if they are strong or weak, i just want my own class fixed. But to me it still seems they burst for quite alot. Seems people end up using martyr alot instead. People i been talking to that i know is good geared too really dont have any problems either.

I think we're in a sweet spot at the moment, but I've also thought that before, so let's just see how it feels for a few weeks. :)

well it's nice to hear that it's getting harder to kill healers. hopefully they don't become OP like they were pre 3.0.

Very much so. Kill counts can be high on BG due to a number of things, namely things like HoW. I see opposing faction low on health and trying to run away...you're getting a hammer in the back. HoW doesn't mean I dpsed you down and went all OP on you, it means I took advantage of an ability I have and got the kill.
