im might be paranoia over Bliz not so loving the class in general, but from my observation in bgs and hitting target dummy, i realised my passive heals have been rather infrequent compared to before.

when i check my combat log however, i realised whenever the wolves makes a melee damage, it does indeed heal over a 100%++ of the damage made.

this has however made me think that the melee swing of the wolves have been slower than usual.

can any enhance shaman try this out and tell me im wrong. i dun like this feeling.

We haven't made any changes to the wolves intentionally.

Any word on when scaling might happen?

Also, I don't know about Beta/PTR (I already uninstalled so I can't get back on the PTR) but Spirit Walk still has some snares it doesn't remove. Crippling poison for one.

I'm a Shaman! My main account was banned from the forums!

As far as I know, Wolves have not been taking advantage of AP to this day, and Spirit Walk is still not breaking the Shaman from roots. (The dogs do get freed from them).

Which is the same as they were when they gave them to us. Nothing has changed yet, but I believe I am to assume the bugs will be fixed soon.

Spirit Walk should definitely not be tied to the wolves, but c'est la vie.

It's not removing any snares whatsoever.

According to GC however it works fine for them, Im not sure what kinda super WoW the developers play on but it isn't the same thing our paying customers play on.

Also curiously enough when I posted this issue in the bug report forums it was a known issue. So the bug report guys know it's broken, but the developers think it works fine and are wondering what we think is broken.

The devs play with a build that is a few ahead of ours.

Yes, but they've said it's been working for them about a month or so ago(we've been bug reporting it on the shaman forums and in beta since spirit wolves were finally implemented).

So either the devs are on a build over a month in advance of what is currently on live AND beta(highly doubtful) or whoever told GC that spirit walk works fine didn't check it against any snares or roots(the sprint part works fine).

Other issue with the Spirit Wolves is that they don't scale on any level with the caster's gear.

Checked the Pet Panel and checked through their specific damage per hit and through their specific hitpoints and they definitely are not scaling with the shaman's stats.

How much Health do your wolves have with no gear on and with full gear on?

Are the wolves good? I just reactivated to check them out last night and was disappointed. Mind you my gear is really poor, so I don't know if scaling happens or not. The wolves hit for 150-180 damage and I got a heal from them for 1 or 2. That's right, one and two. Am I missing something?

It's simply incredible. Have you been chasing me your whole life only to fail now? I think that's the worst thing I ever heard. How marvelous.

That's what they all have since they are unaffected by the shaman's stats. Seems like that is the default quantity of hitpoints. Not sure if they are meant to start lower and scale to that point or what but their damage output is meant to scale and currently it does not.

I am not seeing this problem in 3.0.3. Is anyone else having this issue? Did you see if their health was changing as you put on gear?

Someone brought this up on the beta forums a while ago. I guess the scaling was fixed in 3.0.3, which we don't have yet.

I'm in the Beta too, they don't scale there either. I test with every Beta patch and they haven't scaled in the slightest on any of them yet.

They heal for 1-2 if you are hitting a target dummy. In pvp they heal around 100 a hit.

To answer your question yes the wolves are good right now, they would be great if the spirit walk bug was fixed, and if they scaled with gear. Hopefully those don't get ignored for months on end while the devs work on the more popular classes though.

Thank you for the quick response. The wolves seem pretty nice. I'm really confused what they are doing in the bottom of the enhancement tree though. That makes about as much sense as our 51 point talent being a shadowbolt or big heal.

Can we rethink Spirit Wolves? Too many things are crammed into this power, our only sprint and snare break, our only stun... these are all major PvP tools that all hinge on Spirit Wolves. This makes enhance worse than 2 minute mage, we are 45 seconds shamans.

PLEASE separate these secondary powers from Spirit Wolves so enhance shamans can function without them.

Just checked on the Beta. Hitpoints for the Feral Spirits are exactly the same when in full armor and when completely naked. They hit for the exact same range of damage when in full armor and when completely naked too, so they are definitely not scaling with the shaman's gear.
