First of all Happy Halloween!!
I read in a beta post that you and developers think fire makes the difference for elemental dps at 80.
My question is Does this statement you made consider gear progression?
The concern for elemental shamans who wish to raid is that our DPS might be about par with boomkin and Shadow priest when we first start doing Naxx. providing we are equally geared ( blues and some bage gear for example) and are using the best raiding spec we can and the best spell rotations that we can. But when we the same classes mention above and us are all in Full naxx/t7 gear that our dps no longer be on par but will fall a great deal behind.
We just want some assurance that you and your team will make sure that not only will our dps will be on par at 80 but will remain on par with boomkin and Spriest and slighty behind the pure classes as we progess thru t7 t8 and t9 content

In our testing, Elemental did single-target dps in various levels of Naxx gear that was on par with other dps specs.
But since there seems to be a concern among Elementals that they don't scale well with gear, I'll put a blue on this thread to give them a chance to explain those concerns.

Yeah, well, thats Naxx gear. As you get later and later in raid progression, you're gonna see Elemental start to suck. A lot. Like what happened in the burning crusade, if you know what i'm talking about. Just in case you don't, we didn't scale well at all, so our spot on the dps meters went from top dps on gruul down to last 3 spots in BT/sunwell.

Saying were on par in you're build doesn't do a damn thning when we dont know what the right level of haste is since it screws our rotation all up, or what spec you're using, or even what rotation you use.
its obvious we are doing something wrong if our DPS is so god awful .
or the "other dps classes" had a bad spec, rotation, gems, gear, etc
or the ele shaman was godly skilled, geared, blah blah
tell us, GC, what were the circumstances of your "tests"?
