Thank you. There is otherwise no way to discuss the unique challenges of playing a hybrid class that flows across roles on a day to day or even fight to fight basis.

I really hope you don't pigeonhole classes that way....

I hope this new section gets used a lot more. Already there seems to be more attention to it by blue posters. Having it spread out over lots and lots of sections makes it kid of hard to get your voice heard by blizzard.

I hope the role-based forums become more popular. I hate class forums, they're nothing but an echo chamber of self-pity and whining.

To be clear, the primary purpose of the class forums will be for players to present information to other players. The developers will not have a large presence there except to moderate. If you want to discuss class balance, this is the place.

If you want to discuss optimal dps rotations, try and decide on a talent spec, or ask someone what gear you should be using at level 70, class forums work great for that.

If you start a long thread in the class forums about how your class is the weakest on in the game or how you can't beat mages in PvP, those threads will probably get locked or deleted. Those discussions belong here where you will have to contend with other players who just might disagree (as well as the blues).

Does this mean we will see a lot more moderation on the class forum? Because right now you only see threads get locked/deleted on the class forums once in a blue moon (other than keyloggers).

Sounds great! I, for one, love the idea of the role-based forums. Props to whoever thought of the idea.

You realize that this means that everyone is going to post class-specific issues here instead of in the class forums because you just said that you won't be giving the class forums as much attention.

It's good that you keep the old forums. These new forums are a great place to talk about cross class issues, but class specific issue are better handled on class forums.
