First off, i would like to say, keep the QQ out. I dont want it in here, and please, if you see a QQ post, report it.
Secondly, post constructive ideas, things that could actually be implemented.
I'll start it off with a spell that helps our PvP viability alot, while helping our AoE alot.
Also, when i make most of my spells, i also make a talent and glyph idea to go along with it, i mean, what else am i going to do while listening to my Ecology teacher?
This spell could be baseline, or a talent in deep elemental, either way.
SPELL:
Fracture: 26% base mana, 10 second cooldown. 1.5 second cast.
The target begins to harden into stone, slowing movement speed by 20% every 2 seconds for 10 seconds (stacking up to 100% movement speed reduction) while doing 106-327 nature damage to all targets within 10 yards every second. When the the spell reaches its full duration, or is dispelled, the rock around the target crumbles, dealing 1367-1497 nature damage to all enemies within 10 yards (and possibly knocking them down for 1 second?)
Any target initially effected by the spell receives the "Set in Stone" debuff.
This spell basically gives us a way to get away from enemies in PvP (something that we really, really need) while giving us a viable AoE spell just like every other caster class has.
DEBUFF:
Set In Stone Cannot be affected by Fracture, lasts 20 seconds
Basically stops the possibility of spamming in pvp
TALENT:
Crumbling Elements: Increases the damage done by your fracture when the enemy crumbles by 7/14/20%, and increases the spell power your Lightning Bolt receives by 3/6/10%.
Gives it more PvE viability, WHILE increasing our scaling, which is something we NEED.
GLYPH:
Glyph of Crumbing Elements:Increases the damage dealt by your fracture before the target crumbles by 100%, but removes the slow effect.
Increasing the AoE damage by a good bit, while giving it the bad effect of losing the slow effect, keeping it balanced.
Thoughts? and any other AoE suggestions? (figuring Earthquake will be brought up)

anyway, nice idea. maybe along with a buff to magma totem and a talent to reduce the damage lost from chain lightning jumps, we'll have some AoE damage rolling
Yeah i posted in a thread concerning AoE before which regarded buffing fire totems. I would recommend Totem of Wrath get changed to earth since we have no decent caster earth totem (i guess strength of earth if no enhancement shaman in a 10 man, or stoneskin)
I would prefer a new spell altogether, but that's just me

Earthquake Imho. Just a badass and Shamanistic Spell all around, a channeled AoE that looks like Shockwave in all directions.
Focusing AoE On totems = BAAAAAAAAAAAAD. Unless they change totems to be your Damage, you'll still be equally screwed out of all recognition from quests and everything for AoEing.

You know what would be crazy awesome? If you expanded the number of targets Chain Lightning targets.
How about this for a CL change:
Chain Lightning now jumps to all targets with in a 20 yard range of the first target. The damage reduction never goes below 40% and threat on each target beyond 3 (which is the current number of targets) is reduced by 50% (to prevent pulling mobs)
I would honestly think that would be pretty fun. I remember playing alliance on Dark Iron and raiding Org to kill Thrall and having him CL everyone in the 3 full raid parties we brought (he killed like 30% of us I believe, and people on the tail end got hit for like 3 damage haha). Honestly, I think thats the reason I went horde and started a Shaman.

You basically made a variant of Living Bomb. While I seriously doubt we will be getting a new spell (My bet is a glyph or totem change, It's much to late for a real new spell, which is totally underwhelming...sigh.), I would nonetheless love to see something more akin to Forked Lightning, or Earthquake.

I'm not a Shaman, but I'd like to see someone get an Earthquake spell. I realize a new spell is a lot of planning and a lot of art and animation time for a Live game, but I've always been a fan of the 'Quake gig since Final Fantasy 2. :p
