Soon, soon, we will overrun those pathetic collections of stone mortar and wood that you call cities.
Eventually, you will all serve the one True King.

This is really my problem with the event... if there really isn't a good way to fight the plague, what's the point of trying to fight it? At that point, we'll all just give in and join the Lich King, and then this whole thing isn't very interesting at all.

Have hope in the face of despair, courage in the face of defeat. Raise your arms and your defiance. Pause only to contemplate the enormous strain this puts upon the resources of the Lich King, and know that he will look away first!

ARTHAS WILL BLINK, and then we drive the blade into his cold heart!

I'm not sure a stare fight is the best analogy for a battle with the undead. I mean, I get your message, it's just that particular mental image may be less inspiring than originally intended. Seriously, I don't even have eyeballs on this guy, just empty sockets.

I'll be less depressing when this event gives me a solid reason to bother with anything other than logging in my 70's or questing my midlevel druid way out of the way of zombies.

The Good guys have essentially no chance. The zombie experience is underwhelming to me, and its turning on my server into more of "lol, lets camp darkshire so nobody can use the npcs" rather than any sort of attempt at a siege on a major city or anything.

So play the other side of the board. You're a paladin, there's hordes of undead sweeping across the landscape, go Retribution on them!

Except that trying to play the other side of the board just gets you zombie troll whispers yelling at you for spoiling their fun of low level NPC camping.

They cannot be cleansed. This whole city must be purged.

I kinda see that as a problem.

cuz at this rate theres no way to prevail against the zombies, and therefore the lich king has won and we wont even survive to go to northrend. But then, lol lore.
Well, we weren't supposed to all die, but the Infinite Dragonflight messed things up and caused the plague to spread uncontrollably by first preventing the blockade that would have formed around Booty Bay at the first signs of infection, as well as by taking out the Argent Healers.

However, don't fret, because a raid group of level 80's is going to come from the future and fix the timeline all up for us, and you won't remember any of this.

(None of the above is stated as fact, and if it were the truth... well, I'd be as surprised as you are.)

I expected the Spanish Inquisition, but I got mustard instead.

So, go beat the snot out of Darkshire zombies!

I'm a fairly new player and as such don't remember any world events before this but this entire zombie infestation has been amazing. I was somewhere in Nagrand, flew to Shattrath to grab my dailies and there are tons of zombies running all around infecting other people, etc. I thought to myself - what the hell is going on? A few hours later I start seeing them in other towns, etc. infecting the entire world almost.

Amazing job Blizzard, I love the game and things like this make me enjoy it even more! These types of world events truly make the game feel like a "world" and even more of an epic adventure!

Pretty much.

that and you'll get infected anyway and either spend a week cl;eansing it or have to die after every zombie ganking and then suicide from zombie mode just to attack again.

I suspect Arthas himself of still being alive, if possessing a strong undead bias. I mean, look at the graphics. His breath still makes steam in the cold air. That's a sign of life. Of course, I was being slightly metaphorical, but your point is taken.

Now to vent my frustrations on some Zombies.
