Nothing new to add, just wanted to be another name saying this is a nuisance. Not enough to go ballistic or threaten to cancel an account, but I am not pleased.

I have to agree. this was a stupid idea and has totally shut down the game, You can't use the AH or the bank or the traders. I have soent 10G on repairs which I am sure Blizzard has no intention of reimbursing. I have died 7 times n the AH the Bank and at flight masters. I can't complete a quest or gather herbs or mine or train in my professions. I have lost over 10G in AH deposits because no one else can use the AH either and the auction expires. Wlll blizz be refunding that loss?? nope again,
My husband and I have been sharing an accountm but we now have a second computer and were going to get me an account so we could play together instead of having ti share, but we are now doubtful that there would be any point. $150 is a lot of money to transfer toons and I'm sure we could put the money to better use especially as the thing both of us hate most in this game is the dying and having to walk 100 miles to retrieve you corpse.

It's new. It's entertaining (for about 30 minutes). It's something outside of the norm.

The problem is that it's involuntary. I've had several friends say that they plan to quit WoW if stuff like this keeps up, and frankly, anything that keeps you from playing the actual game itself is understandably annoying.

If a character could opt out, I could understand it. Or at least if I'm forced into having to dodge the possibility of becoming a zombie, if the NPC's that I need in order to complete quests and build my character, etc., could at least stay alive, I wouldn't complain at all.

As it is, you took a game that had tons and tons and tons of options and stripped it down to...do you want to be a zombie? Would you like to watch zombies? Can you avoid being a zombie? Wouldn't it be awesome if you never had to see a zombie again?

That's all it is right now. So if you like it, it's awesome for you and you get all the kicks you want. If you don't like it, you're basically screwed and have to wait it out while those who do have some fun.

(And before I'm attacked for not being pumped about it, try listening to the other people on the game who are just as unhappy as I am. It's just not a small percentage. There are tons of people who pay money to play the game who aren't getting to play the game anymore. Really not cool. Hope it's over soon. My poor main is basically doing nothing but working on achievements in the meantime.)

I won't pretend I am going to cancel my account, I realize this is a temporary event and I honestly like the idea behind it. I just think it needs a few improvements.

Have fewer argent healers, but put them in strategic places (at the bank/AH) and make them unkillable. Let zombies kill guards and such and people who step outside the safety zone. Maybe even make quest givers respawn a bit quicker.

Shattrath - make it a sanctuary or don't but not the in-between that it currently is. Zombie player's can infect NPCs and corpse explode, but no one can attack those zombie players. Also, make NPCs curable.

Durability - make it not effect zombies. I died several times just from hearthing to Scryer rise and being zombied before I could fully load or get to an argent healer (usually because they had been killed, so it might not be as big a deal if the healers were alive). From my understanding zombies don't get any bonuses to armor, so don't make it hurt your armor when you die.

Corpse Running - This really wouldn't be an issue if the healers were more effective, but if changing the way healers work isn't an option then perhaps at least make it so you don't have to run back every time someone blows up the bank or AH.

I like that it's a plague and kind of gives a taste of FFA PvP of sorts...but for those still leveling (I am leveling a BE priest with some family members and we're in our mid 60s) it's a real hassle if you need to go to a major city for any reason. Also, most people who play on PvE servers intentionally chose to, making the FFA PvP go pretty much 100% against what they signed up for...but yeah temporary so I can handle it. I can only imagine it's far worse for low level players who are still leveling. I'm not asking for a way to be completely out of the plague, because I think that would take away from the event and its "urgent" feeling, but some changes are in order. Changing things up for a bit is fine and dandy, but outright disrupting play isn't so fun.

I hate this i am thinking of just quiting. I have finally gotten my charactor to a level 25 and don't want to be any part of this stupid zombie thing. I was loving what I was doing. I guess I will have to find some other game .

Ok I'm just throwing in my 2 cents worth. This Zombie thing is rediculous especially since its on top of all the new patch problems. There is serious lag going on all over the place and constant disconnects. Also since installing the game I have had serious issues with drivers. I cannot update any drives on my computers because then the game will not work. That issue has not been solved after numerous emails. Then the zombie thing is thrown in. If I'm set to non-PVP why do I have to play in a pvp event? I have 6 characters and I cannot log into the game anywhere without being attacked by zombies and infected. The zombie thing is a cool idea but its way over the top. Its TOO MUCH of one thing ALL OVER the place. You can't get a break from it and just play. I can't play the game any more without this Zombie thing getting in the way. Its extremely frustrating. Sure it was funny at first but its taken over the entire game play to the exculsion of everything else. Its fun for some but not for everyone. Generally WOW rocks but there are some things that are extremely frustrating to deal with especially considering the problems that are not getting fixed. One of my biggest problmes is the driver issue there are things that I cannot do any more on my computer because I cannot update my drivers if I want to be able to play this game and I really do have to say this Zombie thing just adds to the general frustration over things that just takes the fun out of the game.

Every day somehting new springs up from this event. The undead menace is getting more and more powerful.


I forsee new hope coming to aid the alliance and horde alike to fight this threat over the course of the next few days.

God, what a totally f'd up idea this is. Whose not-so-brilliant idea was it to let toons get infected and infect others? How is anyone going to get anything done with all these zombies running loose?! The only toons with a chance of surviving are level 70s.

I tried to start a new BE pally and before I knew it some (much) higher level dweeb was running around the island infecting/killing everything in sight. I died five times in as many minutes. Someone please explain how that's supposed to be fun and add excitement to the game?

Didn't anyone consider that something like this would happen? Or how frustrating (and expensive) it would be for people trying to level toons prior to WotLK?

This game I like so much is becoming a complete waste of time.

Agreed. This part makes it really, really stupid. The Shattrath NPCs are trying to defend themselves from the zombies and you cant even help. This makes absolutely no sense. You also cannot cure the NPCs before they turn for the same reason.

Blizzard, please let us kill zombie players in Shattrath and let us cleanse the NPCs. This will go a long way toward making the event bearable. Right now Shattrath is zombie invasion base camp, and that makes absolutely no sense and does not support the storyline at all, unless you are trying to tell us the Aldor and the Scryers are actually Arthas sympathizers.

Blizzard built up some goodwill with the patch and achievments, but threw it all away with this event.

The utter contempt that has been shown to players NOT on PvP realms by forcing PvP and allowing widescale griefing is astonishing.

im really enjoying this event, its great fun getting a group of friends together and reaping havoc in the capital cities =)

It's complete hell for us. thats the only way to describe it..

My sub cancelation was early this morning. It is effective on Dec. 7th. I doubt I will be logging back in anytime soon as i cannot do anything involving the Argent Dawn and defending Org is annoying with all of the lagg due to the infinite zombie corpses. I figure we've leveled at least 400 zombies.


The game is unplayable when I cannot even participate in any meaningful way in the World Event.

yous are falling big time this crap.can't even play cause you get turned into that crap every 2 sec.and it kills the npc.this is bad.its begining to be bull @*##.

I like the difference between the first page of this thread and the last page. Everyone was wicked pumped for this...and now at the end of the thread everyone is saying how much it annoys them hahaha (It is annoying as hell though).

So what? What is the bloody point if you cannot participate in it?

There is no guide to survival in this mess as the thread suggests. I invited 2 friends from work and had linked accounts. Both quit now purely due to this insane event. I hate it as well but don't think I'll quit though. I'll just have to wait until it is over.....
