Cleanse, 10 minute wait, and only at Booty Bay as the infection source is what makes this lame.
Keep the argent dawn healers obscure places, not major cities. The point of a zombie plague is that there are lots. Currently we get one person pop as a zombie, they die in 2 seconds and everyone infected is instantly cleansed by asshats in the area.
A potentially AWESOME world event is lame because of its "controls"

I had a zombie army going with my guildies in sw harbor. it was awesome!!!!
They need to make it so the guards don't agro though :( and the disease undispellable except by the healers

Being a dwarf is cool because I can hit stoneform and instantly turn into a ghoul, letting me jump a lowbie with little warning.
But you do raise a good point, for the majority, the 10 minute wait and the jerks spamming cleanse make it boring.
Plus, the boxes need to be hidden within the major cities as well.
Though this is just the first day, and I expect the invasion to pick up a lot more momentum hopefully soon.

It is actually possible to force someone to be flagged on a pve server. If you flag yourself as a zombie and attack someone they become flagged (i believe if they strike back). Using this trick you can have a friend nearby stealthed (not in zombie form) and attack them as soon as they try to own you. If you hit them once before doing this it makes them into a zombie. Me and my friend were stopping zombie griefers this way :)
Never wait around on a healer in a PUG. . Just keep pulling despite the healer crying OOM over and over again like some kind of backwards cow. They are just doing it for attention - Zinovya

I don't know, but when I had the pre-zombie infection, I hit Stoneform to see what would happen.
Sure, it dispelled the disease, but it turned me into a zombie instantly.
