So I noticed that Veritas is the only guild on the server that has made progress in Gruuls lair, this make me a sad panda. Perhaps this is due to problems filling out raids in other guilds, I don't know but I wanted to help out by leaking some Uber Top Secret Veritas Raid Info. One of the more problematic portions of this fight hinges on that damn OP warlock, (nerf fear more imo). Here are some macros that I wrote to make the Warlock Olm tankage a three button process.
First off, for all you aspiring warlock tankers out there, get to know the fight in and out by reading up on the fight here:
http://www.wowwiki.com/Gruul%27s_Lair
Here's a list of abilities you'll have on your pet action bar:
Wild Bite: 1500 - 5000 Melee Damage. Range: 10 yd. Cooldown: 10 sec. (Autocast by default)
(Shared cooldown with Determination)
Determination: "Removes all negative effects from the caster." Cooldown: 10 sec.
(Shared cooldown with Wild Bite)
Threaten: Produces great amount of Threat on a single Target. Range: 20 yd. Cooldown: 20 sec?
Depending on your tank situation, (we usually have two tanks and two warlocks on Olm) you may need to keep the "Wild Fel Stalker" alive to tank Olm. We typically just have Olm burn the Fel Stalker so we don't have to deal with him. If you want to have the Fel Stalker tank Olm, The Determination Spell will be your best friend.
Macro 1: For starters, right when the encounter begins I run straight at Olm and spam the crap out of this one to get aggro on the "Wild Fel Stalker" and keep him in range of the other warlock's Enslave Demon spell:
/target Wild Fel Stalker
/cast Curse of Shadow
Macro 2: Once I've tagged the Fel Stalker with CoS I'll start spamming this macro, just in case the other warlock tanking Olm gets resisted:
/target Wild Fel Stalker
/cast Enslave Demon
Macro 3: Once you have control of said Fel Stalker hit button number 3! By default he is on defensive and autocasts his "Wild Bite" ability. To keep the Fel Stalker up use "Determination" whenever it is up, this removes the death and decay dots that Olm Stacks on the Fel Hunter, which will kill it quickly if it is not removed. Threaten will typically generate enough threat to keep Olm aggroed.
/target Olm the Summoner
/click PetActionButton4 RightButton
/click PetActionButton10 LeftButton
/petattack
/cast Threaten
The "
/click PetActionButton4 RightButton" toggles the autocast of Wild bite off so you can use determination.
The "
/click PetActionButton10 LeftButton" sets the pet to passive so you can move him to the right location.
Once Olm is "threatened" set your pet to follow again and bring him to his corner, tank, spank, then rinse and repeat. (If you spam this button it will toggle the Wild bite autocast, hitting it only once will do the trick.)
Macro 4: If you have more than one fel hunter up, or Olm dies you'll need to kill it fast, whichever fel hunter is not currently aggroed on Olm should be sent to the mage to get nuked and disposed of.
/target Krosh
/petattack
And there you have it /ezmode. Now kill some ogres Velen <3
If the lock send pet but pet is summoned then he fears, this will kill your emotion.
