Although i do believe the jist of this story, I really have trouble believeing that an unemployed WoW player was so verbally superior to goverment officals. The way it sounds in your story, your totally ready with perfect lines for all there bumbling questions. Unless you make it a habit to get questioned by high ranking Goverment officials I really think you would have trouble doing anything but muttering out the truth, especially in a stressful situation like that one.

Well, I'm a software developer by trade, I'm just between jobs because working at Amazon.com sucked, so I quit.

Their questions were certainly not bumbling ... I tried to convey that they were pointed, well-thought-out, and delivered with conviction. They were very much in control of the situation. And it's not like I memorized some zinger answers to them ... I'm just a "you push me, I push you" kind of guy. I know my rights and I'm very suspicious of government. Thomas Jefferson predicted that every government will, over time, grow to protect solely its own interests, and I agree with him.
