Ok, I gotta ask, cuz I didn't read all of the posts....did ya get her? (Carla)

I also would've taken it a step further when the thought you were The High Warlord Leader. I probably would've said that "I am The High Warlord TIMMMMMMAAAAYYYY, and I am here in Canada to recruit your finest people in my Sanctum"

Dude, seriously, great read and I am sorry this happened to ya!!!

In the USA it is illegal to do that to someone who is guilty of nothing and has nothign suspicious on them. However mr liar in theif in office doesn't believe the constiution applies to him.

Man that Ottawa Citizen article blames you for purposely trying to flush it, and then not saying anything.

I believe your side though, since I know how easy it is to drop something (like a cell phone) and not realize it, especially in the bathroom.

"The stress started to take its toll. One young woman, pregnant with her first child, burst into tears. She had travelled a long way for a family reunion and now she was missing the whole thing. A two-year-old girl, who had been delightfully cheerful and well behaved throughout the ordeal, fell from her seat and hit her head so badly she had to be examined by paramedics. People who had missed flights going out of Ottawa were wondering where they were going to spend the night. Others worried about family and friends who had been waiting for them at the terminal for hours."

Look at what you've done!!

LOL..

Legendary thread indeed...

Wow, interesting story and interesting posts afterwords.... firstly i clear up a few points raised in the thread

1)US Constitutional rights dont matter in Canada because we didnt sign the US constitution. We are a seperate country, with our own rules. Sure we have somthing similar in place, but not the same.

2) in regards to the post with post about grilling him about MP3s.... MP3s are technically legal here so no need to ask about them.

now to the OP... Amazing story and its amazing how accidents can be blown out of proportion. However given the circumstances and also whats happened recently here, in the US, Britain and other palces, unfortunatly the phrase "Vigilance is the price of freedom" has new meaning now-a-days.

While if i were in your situation, i would be frustrated, upset and extreamly embarassed, I would also understand that this is the world we live in now. Personally, i would rather be detained for several hours for a false alarm then die in an explosion 30,000 ft up.

Q u o t e:
ok... good story and all.. but stupid, where do u live? cuase if its far from canada i cant see anyone flying somewhere to meet someone from WoW. i mean i already know u flew internationally, but how much would you do for a friend from Wow?

I live in California ... and yes, this would be the third time I had a meeting with guildies. We're a close group, and an awesome guild.

Plus, with the fact that I'm woefully unemployed, I have a lot of free time, to write DKP mods and websites, applicant-tracking systems, and visit Canadian friends.

[Seizing on excuse to post in legendary thread] This is the world we live in because of stupid political reasons (as opposed to Stupid's political reasons). Agreeing to be secretly detained in the name of freedom means freedom is dead.

Terrorists win.

Ah, but the important question is: does your iPod still work? :P

This question has been asked a couple of times. I never personally checked, but I can assume it does not.

I find it entirely ironic that a person with the name Stupid is probably one of the least stupid people to ever post on these forums. Wonderfully entertaining and well-written post, Stupid! Grats on the legendary thread!

And your haikus are awesome too! *wishes she had one*

Can do!

The god of evil
apparently plays Warcraft.
A warlock? I'm shocked!

The first thing I learned in Canada is that every government employee there is a francophone.

The second thing I learned in Canada is that most of them apparently hate their jobs.

Ah well, the "TLDR" people missed out on a good story. Too bad for them. Very interesting that such a minor occurance can apparently have every aspect of your life called into question.

I'd probably have run into trouble on the "Do you think the government is too big and has too much power?" Because I would have either had to suck up my real opinion and say "No" to avoid trouble, when I really think it is.

...Thomas Jefferson predicted that every government will, over time, grow to protect solely its own interests, and I agree with him.

You actually read The Sun? Aahhh!! :)

LOL No. The Enquirer is more entertaining, and just as accurate. We only saw the article from a Google search.
