Q u o t e:

To be honest with you, im not sure you know what your talking about, how would you ? Does blizzard know something that they are unwilling to share with us, but yet this information was leaked too the all-mighty mvp's? All im asking for, is for blizzard to take 5 minutes out the their day to say " we know there is a problem, and heres an eta" Thats not hard, yet no one is willing to do it. I expected this the first day. But the second? no blizzard has had all day to work on this this, while not giving us any updates.

Quickly men, take care of this man... He has figured out our plan to secretly keep all Northern California customers from logging onto their server of choice. OUR WORK MUST NOT BE COMPROMISED.

If they changed the core designs of SC, millions of Koreans will attempt to crash Zerg Scourges into Blizzard's main office.

Ah i see now, 75 page THREAD, here i thought you were trying to say general forums had 75 pages of threads filled with complaints about it.
If you put about 6 of the posters in that thread on ignore it turns into about a 20page thread haha.

Sure not all 1300 posts are about not being able to log in, but at what number will blizzard start to address us, 1500, 1700 maybe 2k ? If only 1 person has a problem, it needs to be looked it. My self, i know 20 people who are unable to log into wow. This isnt a small problem.

Your remarks are not witty nor humorous. You may enjoy trolling the general forum threads however, i dont enjoy reading your drab attempts at humor.

It is a small problem actually a northern part of a state can't log in.
so every other state can log in<.< all of canada and rest of north america is fine. It is a small problem haha, and if you want an answer why don't use just call blizzards customer service and ask whats up instead of posting on the forums?

Can't be as bad as you crying... in the General forum where this kind of stupid post doesn't even belong. Its obvious that you are the one trolling just to get people to respond.

Unless you really are that stupid and feel like this is the place to post your HUGE DILEMA.

(Which is not affecting me one bit and i live in Northern CA so suck it).

Im sorry that you are unable to grasp the problem at hand. Yes i cant connect to my server of choice, the problem is. blizzard has been unwilling to help us up too this point. They are asking for trace net logs that all show the same thing, informing us over the phone that comcast is at fault, and that we must call them and lodge a complaint!. However comcast refuses fault, and inform us that blizzard must have messed up one of their own servers. Im sorry that you feel im being a prick. But its far from the truth. I am however unwilling to deal with children who have nothing better to do but to point fingers and laugh.

This happened to a lot of people in the north east about a year and a half ago... we were told that it was our problem and we had to contact the ISP to have it rectified... so good luck.

There's also the Overrated Fix, where you replace the elevator with some spiral stairs.

Just responding to them? Amirite?

There is a whole other world out there aside from the one you have created for yourself, I would suggest popping in and saying hi from time to time.

Here's how it works.

The Servers = Blizzard's responsibility.
Blizzard's ISP = Blizzard's responsibility.
The rest of the Internet = Comcast's responsibility.
(not saying Comcast owns the rest of the internet, but they control how your traffic gets to locations on the internet, and would I assume have multiple paths they can prioritise.)

Now you report a fault with Blizzard's server.
Blizzard cannot see a fault withe their server, and plenty of other users are accessing the same server fine.
So Blizzard as you for a trace route to show how you are accessing their server and check if their ISP is at fault.
And they find something amiss in your trace.

It could be that packets are circling in the comcast network.
Or that they are being routed to the wrong side of the country.
Or that they die before reaching Blizzard's upstream ISP.

I don't know because I haven't seen the trace.

End result, Blizzard did help you, you just have no idea what service you are paying each of your two vendors for, and so want to blame everyone.

Edit: My bad. I actually went and read the other thread. After reading that it looks like routing is fine, the issue is at a content filtering level. Not necessarily pure content filtering, could just be a misconfigured rate limiter. Looks like there are one or more hosed IP blocks in the affected area, and people are getting around the issue by changing their router MAC addresses and getting a new lease which comes from an unhosed IP block.
