Since the patch while eating &/or drinking I randomly stand up during it for now reason. It does not happen all of the time but has occured semi-frequently.

I have had this happen since I got disconnected yesterday, and logged into a "world server is down" error. Next time I logged in, that one character can no longer eat or drink without almost immediately standing up, thus cancelling the eating/drinking session. It only happens on that one character on my account, and it happens everytime, and within 2 seconds.

Not only does this happen to me while drinking and eating but anytime I try to sit. It appears to be a random event that's been recently introduced.

Highly annoying.

I have the same problem but only after I use the new pet HOT. I have to wait until the HOT is completely done and off my pet to start to drink or eat. If I try to eat before its done I stand right back up. Of course it consumes the drink/food. I have talked to several GM's about it and they say ok, we will research it more. Then I don't hear anything else. Don't know if it is related to the other problems listed but who knows.

So the hunter bug is listed in the patch notes to be fixed in the next patch, what about when this is happening to non hunters? My druid can't eat or drink as its ended within 1 sec EVERYTIME, no exceptions. The GM I talked to in game couldnt figure it out, and referred me to tech support. I emailed them but have yet to get a response, hence why I brought it here in the meantime. This happening to anyone else, where everytime you go to drink your character immediately stands up, non hunters especially, as the hunter bug has been noted?

Its not just a hunter bug. Its happening to me and to several of my friends, and we're all different classes. A tech support person told me it was due to an add on, but failed to mention which one.

Update 7/11/07 -- Its still happening. A blizzard poster told me it was related to add ons but could not tell me which one because he said "we don't keep track of add ons"...

Just heard that this bug is happening to a guildmate, and she does not use any add ons.

This is getting old. While eating, I will get the first few ticks of regen of health after sitting down to eat but then my character stands up before the food is finished without having pressed any buttons. This is still a problem. If any Blizzard poster could please help this is very annoying! BTW I am a rogue and am not under any sort of effect or using anything else when this happens.

This bug happened to me today after getting a world server down message. Everytime I go to drink on my main instantly stands back up. I can drink/eat on other characters just fine however.

I have deleted WTF/interface folder and ran the repair tool.

Any ideas?

This seems to happen to me extra frequently while questing around Ogri'la. If it happens elsewhere I haven't noticed.

Happens to me all the time. I can't believe it's been a bug this long and Blizz hasn't fixed it yet.

I am going to bump this daily as it has probably cost me at least a few gold since I first noticed it. Not to mention it's a waste of time and annoying.

Happens to me as well and it seems pretty random , that last patch really messed stuff up!

At least I know now its not cuz I am hitting anything , lol

Question for everyone seeing this: are you in Blade's Edge Mountains when this happens? I found this in the PTR patch notes: "Blade's Edge Mountains: Players accepting the bombing run quests in Blade's Edge Plateaus will no longer cause other players in the region to stand up."

I've ended up grinding out the last of 57 on my mage on the fel orcs outside Thrallmar, and the fel reaver paths close by quite frequently... so incredibly annoying. >_<

Here's an idea. When a player is sitting and eating/drinking, how about the player ignores any game requests to stand?
