We are actively receiving updates from the parties involved concerning the connection issues affecting users in Northern California and surrounding areas. This is outside of our service and not related specifically to Blizzard Entertainment or with World of Warcraft, but we are attempting to provide as much assistance as we can in hopes of resolving this issue. We will continue to track their progress with the information given to us and hope to provide further updates to you as we receive them.

Please keep in mind this thread is here only to gather trace route information from players in the Northern California area who are using Comcast and are experiencing connectivity issues. This was done in order to see if any other issues might have been causing this but it appears to be related to Comcast. For the players who this thread is addressing, please contact Comcast for additional updates regarding the issue. For players who are outside of this area or using a different ISP but are experiencing connectivity issues, please create your own thread for further assistance.

We've been receiving reports regarding players having difficulty logging in from certain geographical locations. Many of these seem to come from Comcast in Northern California but we'd like to get as much information as possible please regarding this situation.

If you are having difficulty connecting right now, please post a tracert report below. We will use these as we find out what exactly the heck is going on here. :-)

Steps to run the Trace Route command (Windows XP/2000):

1) Click Start and then Run
2) Type "command" and press Enter
3) In the command window, type 'tracert us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com > C:\tracert.txt' (without the quotes) and press the Enter key.

Steps to run the Trace Route command (Windows Vista):

1) Click Start and in the "Start Search" field type "command" or "cmd"
3) In the command window, type 'tracert us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com > C:\tracert.txt' (without the quotes) and press the Enter key.

A file will be created on your C: drive called tracert.txt that contains your trace route information. Please be patient when waiting for the tracert command to complete, it may take several minutes.

Please post the results in this thread.

any chance you guys could look into the issues facing NC/SC players? We've been lagging for several weeks and haven't been able to find a fix on our own. It's mostly Time Warner customers in North and South Carolina.

I live in NYC and have been getting constantly disconnect from the WoW servers for going on four months now.
