My brother recently wanted to get an account that he would have his own characters on and pay for it himself. I already have an account and bought both world of warcraft and the burning crusade. He has a 14 day free trial membership and a 2 month pre-paided card ready but he can not create an account b/c the authentication key on my discs has already been used (by me). He would be paying the 15 dollars a month and I would too but we really don't want to have to buy both world of warcraft and the burning crusade again just to get a new authentication key for brothers to play in the same house.

If there is any way to reasonable way to fix this, please help.

Unfortunately the only way to activate an account is via an authentication key or by using the recruit-a-friend method. Another alternative is using the 10 day free tial.

If you don't want to spend the money on purchasing a whole new Classic WoW and Burning Crusade box, your brother will be able to purchase Authentication Keys online in Account Management to upgrade his account.

Every account needs its own key for both Classic WoW and the Burning Crusade -- ie: the Key can't be reused.

Nope, the key(s) can only be used once to create an account or upgrade it, and they are soulbound to the account they were attached to. You will have to buy the regular version first, then upgrade that to the BC.

If you upgrade in account management, going to a full WoW account is $20 and BC is $40. If you used the recruit a friend option to start the trial, then not only will he get the usual 30 days free for WoW, but once he pays for a month's time the referring account will get 30 free days.
Add that to the 10 trial days and there's 70 days of time for $20, or $60 with BC - over $30 worth of game time. The remaining amount for Wow + BC doesn't seem to be so bad after that.

Regardless though, he'll need a full account before he can add time. You cannot simply continue a trial indefinitely. He can upgrade with a box bought in a retail store or online in account management.

I think the thing Blizzard should do is give 2 Authentication keys per game most households now have 2 or more pcs because of the demand of internet kids and parents Im running 3 and would like to play with my wife but the whole idea of spending another 60 dollars is 24.99 cdn for game and another 35.00 cdn for pre-paid game card plus taxes for another account is ridiculous to me u would make more money being able to draw ppl in with things like 2 codes instead of one. Thats me though LOL!! just thought I would say something!

You mention buying the game for 24.99 cdn and 35 for a 60 day game card. You do realize that if you did that you would also get 30 days for upgrading to a full WoW account and if you used the recruit a friend trial to start the account before upgrading, another 10 days of trial and 30 days to the referring account?
So instead of the 60 days for 35 cdn, you're getting 130 for 59.99 cdn? More than twice the time, less than twice the cost? It would actually cost you more to just buy the time if you didn't have to get a full account this way.

hay i need help my girlfriends dad got me into world of war craft and he gave me his cds so i can instell them into my computer and i made my own account and i have a 10 day free trail and i also got a pre paid card so when the trail is done but when i wanted to upgrade the burning crusade to my account and i type in the authenticantion key it doesnt work because my girlfriends dad use it on his account so do you think you guys can help me because i really like the game.

You need to start a new thread. Don't post in ones that are over a week old.
But at this current point in time you will need to buy a box set from the store because the online upgrade from a trial version isn't working.
