This post is for issues currently being researched by Blizzard QA. This post is here to help gather pertinent information about the issue. Off-topic or non-constructive posts will be deleted.
Player Pet Bars and other UI components not appearing.
Many players have reported that their pet action bars are not displayed when summoning pets. QA has not been able to reproduce this issue internally using the default WoW UI, only while add-ons installed, and we believe this is a UI tainting issue caused by add-ons.
Because of the nature of the WoW UI mods that have nothing to do with the action bars can still cause these taint issues so the only valid testing is with a completely clean interface.
If you are experiencing this issue please try the following and report your results here: 1. Close WoW
2. Delete (or rename) your INTERFACE folder in the WoW directory.
3. Restart WoW
4. Summon your pet

I've only had this happen when dismounting and my pet being automatically resummoned back. For me on my computer personally with add-ons disabled, just calling for my pet brings up the petbar.

FYI. This has never happened with my warlock pets, and I have frequently been dismounted during combat. Pet bar always shows up when my pet comes back. I have never had any add-on's installed.

I use the cosmos addons, this seems to happen when addons are enabled. When I go the the Cosmos site, people seem to indicate is blizzard problem, and vice-versa. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the addons for Cosmos and have made sure I have updated cosmos.
When you say to delete the interface folder, I assume when I sign on again, this will be replaced and updated with the Blizzard UI addons? Since I am not that technical, deleting this folder will not cause me to have to reinstall WOW and wait hours for updates, right?

Adding players to a party during combat can also cause the same issue, where the player doesn't show up in the party UI. Note this is probably a UI tainting issue as well, but it's similar to the pet UI issue.
Usually just doing a /console reloadui when out of combat is enough to fix things.

Want some help debugging :)
I seem to find that if i summon my water elemental while running (strafing away from mobs about to eat me) then i dont get my pet bar. A big disappointment when a dozen nasties are about to mess me up and Frost nova still has 4 seconds... but its ok cause my water ele has... awww SNAP!!!

But if i am just standing still the pet bar comes up. Could also be add-ons, i lost track of how many i have, and wont blame you for someone else bugging your codes.

After further testing I haven't been able to reproduce this (or lack thereof) with a clean inferface slate. It just so happens that if just 1 UI mod is enabled, it somehow affects the pet bar. I don't know how this is even possible, but it does happen. I, have 100% of the time, had my pet bar come up without add-ons enabled.

I find that my pet bar doesn't come up if I am attacked while mounted and either dismount or get knocked from my mount. With or without add-ons. I can use ctrl+1 to attack target and after combat, I can remount then dismount anjd pet bar will be there. I can dismiss and recall pet and bar is there. Pet bar comes up 100% of the time when I call the pet with or without add-ons. Ride a gryph, and the pet bar will reappear when pet repops.
This only started when the last major patch came out automatically dismissing and recalling the pets.

I have no problems with the pet bar in the default UI.
There are two addons that I have found to cause the pet bar to not appear if I dismount during combat. I tried playing with just the trouble addon (or addons in the case of CV and rpgo-profiler) enabled, so I'm sure those are the culprits.

I can reproduce this bug nearly 100% my mounting up. Running into combat with something and dismounting.
I assumed it was the change that made it so no ui changes could happen while in combat.
That would be the same reason new people to the group don't show up when I'm in combat when it happens.

Are you using the default UI or do you have addons installed? That's the primary question Hortus is asking.

Additional grass areas have been added to the enemy faction's zones. This grass is exceptionally green.

I only have 1 tiny little 128kb mod. Tells me when nightfall/backlash procs and when I get a soulshard. So I doubt it's happening due to that. It mostly happens when I'm in combat summoning a pet, though it occasionally happens out of combat as well.
There's not much more I can tell ya. The pet bar is just not popping up.....=|

I've been getting the lack of a pet bar bug for a while now, but there's also a similar very annoying bug.
If you don't have something targeted before you enter combat, the target window often doesn't appear. Makes combat very interesting when you're not quite sure what you're attacking.
It seems like the same kind of problem as the pet bar. The screen is locked when combat starts, so if you don't have a pet bar up or something targeted, better hope you can win without those!
