Everytime I try to access the main page http://www.worldofwarcraft.com it gives me an error and closes the page.

the details are as such

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2900.2180 ModName: wininet.dll
ModVer: 6.0.2900.3059 Offset: 00004629

I assume this is on Blizzard's end, because this is the only page doing this -- and I can successfully access everything else on the web.

i've cleared my cache and performed as much maintenance as I know how to in order to ensure its not on my end - but who knows - it wouldnt be unusual for IE7 to have an issue..

anyone else?

I can't get there either. It's timing out. I am using the latest Firefix (2.0.0.4)

I'm having the same problem and also the error reporter can't connect to blizzard either.

I havn't been able to get on to the page as well. Useing Safari here. first time I got server down error.

Same error as Terramolith. "Http status 500 - The server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request" As far as I can tell, the technical stuff that was copy pasted before is the same for me too.

I am not seeing this issue using IE8, but I am having authentication issues getting onto the servers...since the authentication issues usually occur when there is patching (like this morning) and given that this was some emergency work being performed...I would guess they are related and that as soon as the server issues are resolved, the website will start working again like normal. <shrug>
