Q u o t e:
Another issue is queue times. The BG queue times haven't been all that bad since cross server BG's. They are slowing down lately since most people run EoTS and not much else. If you start forcing people to wait in queue because "your gear is too much better or worse to play against that person!" then the queues will be crazy.
Don't do this. "Testing" it on the PTR for 1 day is not a realistic judge of the consequences.
You are misunderstanding a few things.
First off, the matching is going to be relatively forgiving so that BG queue time shouldn't be a problem. Also, if your group is comprised of multiple armor sets of different qualities, it's going to work on an average (or at least should). So, you and your friends will still be able to play together and you won't have to worry about making sure everyone has the "right" gear to go into the battleground. All the system should do is help balance out the disparities slightly and make things more fair between teams. There are no "Brackets" involved. You aren't labeled as being a part of a bracket, it's just an average of values weighted against others going into the battleground.
Our event is simply to kick things off and get people involved as well as have a little fun. We will be watching closely to see how well the system works and what tweaks need to be done to it to make it work better. The testing is ongoing and won't be for just one day.

But I'm to laaaaaaazy to sign up for the PTR and download that thing... :(
Seriously though, you may want to consider more events like this in the future... possibly rotate the battlegroups you play in, which side you're on etc. Maybe somewhere in between a monthly to a bi-annual event.

Q u o t e: Sounds like a serious case of l2p. I don't even know what to say to troll you, you owned yourself in epic proportions by admitting that the only way you can beat other players is by seriously out-gearing them.
Gear makes it easier to defeat your opponent. Going into a BG/ arena with a team who ha played together before makes you better than your opponent. But if you are always put up against teams who are exactly equal to you, then why run with a guild, or gear yourself up? It's not worth the effort, when you can be on the same even playing field as soon as you ding 70 with greens on in a pug.

Q u o t e: Demands:
1. A team full of twinked out stamina warlocks to fight against the Blizzard team. It would be funny as hell to see the incoming nerfs after that.
2. A team full of shamans. The speed at which that team will lose might finally warrant some buffs.

Its time for the CMs & Devs to pull their heads out of ... the ground ... and see the issues at hand with Shaman, and admit to themselves that Shaman have serious issues.

I've got my money on the CM's showing up with a 10 man Warlock crew in WSG, because we all know they don't have the experience and knowledge on Shaman to play and be useful.
I doubt any of them even have a level 70 raiding Shaman with any serious /played time. /rasp
prove me wrong?
