Sounds like something they're doing because it costs less to develop than bosses each in their own separate areas.

I think this could actually be very epic lore-wise. Sure we're not downing some ancient super being, but then we didn't in naxx either (those things were what? 7 years old?). The horde and alliance in one massive dome fighting for supremacy and the right to challenge arthas directly, plus all the cursed materials we used to build the thing, could make for some VERY epic confrontations that tie directly into the fate of the factions, and therefore more directly to the players themselves not just "saving the world" again.

Bravo, and i still wanna see CoT Fall of Quel'Thalas or Gundrak!

Does this mean a raid and a instance will be in there?

Will there be a small description of what the raid will be like? will we be fighting demons, undead or battling argent crusade members? will be using are own selves or using siege weapons for some or all fights? and will there be a new teir or just off sets as zul aman was?

I'm thinking the Coliseum (5, 10, 25 man) is gonna be the "PvE Arena." There might be various raid bosses that you can choose to battle against and get loot or tokens for gear. Maybe even lvl 80 tune-ups of old Raid and dungeon bosses. Can't wait to see it.

Please tell me you don't expect Ulduar hard modes and Algalon to somehow last a year unless you really plan on getting Icecrown out this year in which case that means the next expansion would need to be by mid next year since you said you want Arthas to be the final boss of the expansion. IUmean after Blizzard admitted to the wait between BT and Sunwell being way too long I would hope you wouldn't make the same mistake a year later right after making us wait forever for Ulduar.

Or are you keeping the real raid a secret still.

As far as the new rewards are concerned, assuming new weapons/gear is being released should we expect them to be simliar in stats to the current weapons offered? Or will they be something of better quality?

Also, will we still be using Champion's Seals to purchase these new items or are there plans to release new emblems/seals that drop from the bosses of the Coliseum instance/raid to purchase these new rewards?

This patch sounds awesome. Blizzard hinted months ago that the 3.2 raid would be Argent Coliseum PvE battles (a la Amphitheater of Anguish).



Calm down dude. Your main hardly has any Ulduar achievements and you're talking about blowing through the instance too soon?

3.2 isn't going to be a year away. At most September/October, and by then only top guilds will still have killed Algalon. (unless they nerf Mimiron hard-mode and Algalon by then)

Do you really think Ulduar achievements will last a year? Instances become stale after 6 months even with achievements. Yea 3.2 won't be till later this year and by then Ulduar will have been played to death and people will want something fun and new to do and not some small joke instance since we won't see Icecrown till April/May next year probably.

Achievements are nice but the same content is the same content regardless.

Although it's obviously too early to really pass judgement, I sincerely hope this isn't the only raid with 3.2.
After the massively epic Ulduar, sitting inside a big coliseum fighting bosses seems pretty "eh" on paper.

Here's hoping this isn't the mystery raid.

Edit: I wonder if Tirion will be the last boss of the Coliseum, testing the Argent Crusade's aspiring champions!

I think if they had plans to announce a new raid, they would have done so. The coliseum pretty much IS the raid. Hello, 10/25 man content seems raid-like to me?
