Overlay = on top of other programs, if you have enabled it in Ventrilo it will be there on top of other programs that you have open/running. Open Vent first, then open WoW, as I understand.

Does anyone know if this program is ok to use in WoW? It loads into the program file; not the addons. I also don't like the ventrillo overlay as it is too big and cant be adjusted. This looks perfect but afraid it might violate some tos?

Addons operate in a sandboxed enviroment. They can't see files on your hard disc , they can't access any network sevices like a web or an email or anything else other then the 2 SavedVariables folder.
You'll never get an addon that does this as addons cant access to the data required for an addon of this nature.
An overlay or windowed mode are your options.
That link Vranx posted above is an exact copy of the file dowloaded from http://www.voice-overlay.info.ms/
The checksums for the files that unzip match exactly. They would be different if that guy had altered the voice overlay program and uploaded it somewhere.

My email addon plan really works. 80 - 100 addons. Updating manually every week or so . 8 - 12 minutes

Good Luck using this program. I downloaded it to use with Vent since a Guild one of my toons is in requires Ventrillo. Can't even get my game to load when it's active. So, I just don't use it.
Funny thing: Guild requires Vent, yet every time I'm on that toon (quite often) nobody in the Guild appears to be on vent. AND- for some odd reason, guild chat doesn't work on that toon. Hmmmmm..........

Why don't you make a new thread instead of bumping an old one? Also, your problem pertains to something different as the subject header. Open a new thread containing your problem. As for me helping, I have no idea why it wouldn't be working for you.
