I'm starting to think that all players will need to carry around different sets of gear depending on what they want to accomplish. Everyone in a particular class will pretty much have the same talents depending on spec come Cata. So I'm guessing the only way to distinguish one dps mage from another is their gear and what stats they've chosen???

This has been my experience as well. Whoever was the highest dps of a class, the others copied him - it could even be someone from another guild, but they reported higher numbers so people copied the spec/gear setup.

There could be that one person that chooses the utility spec to help out the raid, but that was rarely done by free choice (again, in my raid experience). While the gear could vary a bit depending on what dropped, it was interesting when they were very close in gear and very different in damage. Take a guess who the raid leader yelled at in these cases? :)

Ding! Anything is possible of course, but this makes the most sense to me at this point in time.

Arena seasons tend to end when another tier of gear is available to avoid having either PvE or PvP be the absolute best in the game. When we are nearing the point of another tier of gear being available we will probably announce the end of the current arena season.

If Blizzard publications were easily available in digital format (eBooks, digital comics, PDFs, etc.), would you be more likely to read the publications in digital format or print format?

We don't do invites on a specific schedule but are sending them out in waves as we feel it's appropriate. While I know everyone wants to keep up to date on when they should be checking their email for a potential invite, we don't plan on announcing each wave that goes out.

We'll continue sending out invites all through the beta and you should also be able to check the current official fansites for any key giveaways they plan to do should you feel the waiting for an email isn't a sure enough way to get a beta invite. :)

There is going to have to be a certain amount of suspension of disbelief on your part. The Wrath of the Lich King expansion exists on its own as its own timeline and story. While it would be great if we could eventually mesh the storylines all the way up through Burning Crusade and on into Wrath of the Lich King, that is something to be decided upon at a later point in time if we feel it's something we want to delve into more. It would take a phenomenal amount of work, much like what we've already been doing with the old world.

This is all tentative and could change, but we don't really have a problem with protodrake farming. What we will probably do with really unusual mounts like Mimiron's Head and Invincible is make them a rare drop. The 100% drop rate won't make sense when you can overpower the content.

If you want to overpower the content for a drake though, go for it. Players who did it "legit" had the benefit of having the achievement and mount earlier than anyone else. The most prestigious mounts will change in Cataclysm.

Despite it being completely off topic and tempting to ignore with a /sunglasses...
We have talked about the Wintergrasp thing before and since nothing has changed there isn't much to discuss. We are working on a different set of mechanics for Tol Barad that should help this in the future. This isn't something that gets completed quickly and you will have to wait awhile for it.

Im sure not everyone prefer to be in a guild for various of reasons, some being real life issues or time constrain, or just simply prefer to be guildless...

After the release of the guild perks and all that new skills, do you guys think or believe that it will become "necessary" to join a guild in the next expansion?

It won't be required or forced in my opinion. Larger guilds right now already enjoy a variety of advantages in getting groups together and such. So while the new system may encourage players to take part in guilds, it can be avoided if wanted.

Anytime we have free realm transfers open there is a sticky there in this forum. I don't believe any are running at the moment.
