[General Discussion]   Blizz techs, THANK YOU!
Skotos [8]
Seriously. You guys rock. You keep this game as problem-free as an MMO can get, then you have to put up with the remarks of losers who haven't a clue about what your job takes to do, and could care less whether or not you are having a stressful day because you CARE about your job and something's screwed up, so you have to work as hard and fast as you can to fix it.

At least some of us DO know, and DO care about you, and ARE grateful for what you do! The rest - well, not all of us have made it passed the 3-year old stage, you'll just have to take that in to account.

;)

Our team appreciates this feedback immensely; it is often a job that is entirely transparent to players. Thus, they are rarely applauded for the monumental task of keeping the game running smoothly for millions of players, which is precisely why feedback from people who recognize the value and enormity of a task like this one is so valuable.

So, thank you for taking the time to swim against the trend and recognize an extremely dedicated, often under appreciated, and hardworking group of magnificent people. Your insights do you great justice and are well-accepted.

[Dungeons & Raids]   LK available after extending with 0 attempts?
Elementress [80]

Q u o t e:
Basic Q&A about this change:
Q: If you extend your raid lockout this week, will you still lose attempts on Normal after the hotfix?
A: No.

Q: If you run completely out of attempts on Heroic, will the wing bosses and Lich King no longer respawn, even if the difficulty is switched to Normal?
A: YES. So leave an attempt left if you wish to kill them on Normal. We'll try and correct this in a future update.

Based on the Q&A on the EU forums, I have an additional question. (that I can't post there)

Q: If you extend your raid lockout this week and you have already used up all of your attempts on Normal, will the Lich King spawn after the hot fix?

My guess, based on the second answer, is that he won't. We'd have had to have left at least one attempt. Perhaps my question can formally be answered if they repost the QA on the US forums.

He wouldn't be spawned. Start a fresh instance to avoid possible issues.

[Dungeons & Raids]   Icecrown Citadel Attempts on Normal
After each region's maintenance this week, raids will no longer lose attempts on wipes in Normal mode for Professor Putricide, Blood-Queen Lana'thel, Sindragosa, and the Lich King. There will still be limited attempts in Heroic mode.

We will continue to monitor developments in Icecrown Citadel in the future, especially since the Heroic difficulty has been unlocked by a significant number of raids.

[General Discussion]   Does Northrend suck for everybody?
Farknard [80]
I'm getting a slight undercurrent that people really hate taking their alts through Northrend again. I, myself, have two 70s I'm trying to level up, but every time I do quests in Northrend (again) I want to slit my wrists. It's excruciatingly slow, no fun (especially the second or third time) It's the only zones I've played before and never want to see again.
I don't mind any particular area myself, leveling just tends to be all or nothing. Either I'm in the mood for it and will level anywhere or am not in the mood for it and won't do it at all. I tend to be pretty weird though when leveling and like to finish everything in as many zones as possible so I have to be in a wonky mindset. Sure it fun hitting 80 though in Grizzly Hills.

I did a quick browse and I'd say your example here proves my point. I appreciate it.

Since this is just trying to stir up a hive and not really discuss anything, I'm locking this thread.
[General Discussion]   The reason I have not tanked 5 since LFD tool
Jaybutts [80]
The reason I no longer tank 5 mans since LFD tool came out is because I do not need to tank if I want to get a group within a half hour now, I would rather wait 5 to 10 minutes and dps instead, one of the main reasons I still tanked 5 mans was because it was necessary in order to get a group quickly or to get a half way descent tank at all. I have for the most part only tanked 5 mans while the tank was afk or disconnected since the LFD tool came out, I used to be a PUG tank thru and thru when it came to 5 mans.

I don't think I am alone here.

This is interesting because I changed one of my dps characters to a healer so he could get through the queue faster. I would tank on him but I just don't have the gear for it yet. So it's pretty much the opposite of you and I am going the healing/tanking to get through the queue faster.

I don't think I am alone here.
